While everyone was focused on iPhone X preorders, Apple also released a brand new premium leather sleeve for the twelve-inch MacBook. This luxury sleeve comes in Saddle Brown and Midnight Blue and is available for shipping immediately.
Previously, Apple released a very similar sleeve for the iPad Pro models.
It got quite a lot attention both for its looks, as well as its price tag. Compared to the iPad sleeve, the MacBook one opens along the long side instead of the short. The iPad Pro sleeve was also available in a few more colors than the MacBook sleeve currently is.
It’s cool that the new sleeve has small dimples for the footrests on the underside. Apple also took charging into consideration, allowing you to charge your MacBook while it is in the sleeve.
To help justify the $149 price tag, Apple boasts the sleeve is made from a high-quality European leather, with a microfiber lining for protection.
I was a huge fan of the iPad Pro sleeve, if not put off a bit by the price.
The leather sleeve for MacBook is shipping from Apple immediately, with one-day delivery.
If you find the price a bit on the high end, we’ve covered quite a few other options that are more affordable. My personal favorite has been the handmade sleeves from Picaso Labs.
