Are you new to iPhone or iPad? This short tutorial shows you how to change your phone call ringtone and text tone to something you like.
Change your iPhone ringtone
- On the iOS Settings app and tap Sounds & Haptics.
- Tap Ringtone. If you use two or more SIM cards, select one of the lines.
- Now, as you tap each ringtone, you can hear what it sounds like. You’ll also notice at the bottom of the Ringtones list an option for Classic. If you tap this, you’ll see even more ringtone options.
- When you find one you like, just select it. You can then use the arrow on the top left to go back.
If you don’t really like any of the available ringtones, here are some easy ways to get a ringtone for your iPhone.
Change your iPhone text tone
- Go to iOS Settings and tap Sounds & Haptics.
- Tap Text Tone.
- You’ll have another group of tones to pick from, as well as the link to the Tone Store if you prefer to purchase one.
Having a ringtone, and even a text tone, that you like is important because you’re going to be hearing it all the time. So, take a few minutes, browse the tones, and pick one that suits your mood or taste.
