Learn how to turn off marketing notifications for promotions, discounts, and special offers from the Apple Wallet app on iPhone.
Apple has leveraged the Wallet app on the iPhone to push unsolicited marketing messages, such as F1 movie ticket offers through partner Fandango, as well as special deals and discounts from itself and its partners.
On iOS 18 and earlier, you could stop these messages by turning off Wallet notifications; however, this approach was overreaching, as it also disabled useful messages, such as Apple Pay transaction confirmations.
iOS 26 and later address this with a separate setting in the Wallet app that lets you opt out of these marketing messages without affecting other Wallet notifications.
Turn off promotional Wallet notifications on iPhone
Marketing notifications for special offers and promotions are turned on by default. To opt out, you must manually turn them off within the Wallet app.
- Open the Wallet app on your iPhone.
- Tap the three-dot icon in the top-right corner, then choose Notifications.
- Turn off Offers & Promotions.
Doing so will stop all marketing messages from the Wallet app. According to the feature’s description, the app will no longer show you “notifications about special offers and discounts available from Apple and its partners.”
Got a promo today from @Apple in the Wallet app about F1: The Movie.
Not sure system apps are the right place for ads-even for something this cool.
If I wanted this kind of clutter on my phone, I would’ve bought an Android…@AppleSupport #iPhone #WalletApp #F1TheMovie pic.twitter.com/grTBFeotrP— Avi Landau (@AviL89) June 25, 2025
As mentioned, it’s not possible to disable these promotional notifications in Wallet on iOS 18 and earlier versions without turning off all its notifications in the Settings app, including potentially important alerts about payments and other financial transactions.
Other Wallet messaging toggles
There’s also another toggle labeled “New Features & Updates” for toggling notifications regarding new features in the Wallet app, as Apple releases them. Other switches in the “In-Wallet Messaging” section let you turn order notifications on or off for shipping and delivery updates, as well as manage notifications for pre-authorized payments such as subscriptions and recurring charges.
