Remove the time limit from viewing Instagram Stories with this jailbreak tweak

The Instagram app provides a feature for users called Stories, which allows users to share moments in their lives with other Instagram users.

Stop the Instagram app’s Story timer with this tweak.

Normally, when viewing another person’s Story, there is a time limit depicted by a progress bar at the top of the app that, once completed, closes the Story and moves you onto the next phase of using the Instagram app.

For those who wish they could have more time to look at someone’s Story, or don’t want the app deciding a time limit for them, a newly released and free jailbreak tweak called NoIGTimeStoryLimit by iOS developer Cydia Geek is now available to help with this.

I’m not an Instagram user myself, but I acknowledge that a lot of folks use it. For that reason, I reached out to the developer to discuss the tweak and learn more about it, and they told me that even after the time limit bar runs out, you can continue viewing the Story in the Instagram app and it doesn’t automatically close as it normally would.

NoIGTimeStoryLimit is available as a free download from CydiaGeek’s personal repository via your favorite package manager app and supports jailbroken iOS 14, 15, and 16 devices running the latest version of Instagram (version 303.3 at the time of this writing).

If you’re not already using CydiaGeek’s personal repository, then you can add it by using the URL we’ve provided below:
