Make your Control Center look spiffy with Plampy UI

If you’ve got a device running MacDirtyCow-vulnerable firmware, such as iOS or iPadOS 15.0-16.1.2, then you might be excited to learn of a Control Center add-on called Plampy UI Control Center by iOS developer YangJiii.

Plampy UI for Control Center.

Anyone who appreciates a taste of eye candy will have a soft spot for Plampy UI, and that’s because it makes certain icons and glyphs look more aesthetically pleasing.

Once installed, Plampy UI Control Center changes the appearance of icons and glyphs in the Control Center interface’s toggle buttons to look like what you see in the examples shown above.

Being that it’s a MacDirtyCow-based add-on, it’s worth noting that the icons revert back to their defaults after a reboot, but it’s really easy to re-enable these add-ons when that happens. On the flip side, making use of the MacDirtyCow exploit doesn’t require a jailbreak, so it even works with the latest Apple devices as long as they’re running a supported firmware version.

Plampy UI Control Center is available for free from the Misaka package manager for MacDirtyCow devices. Anyone who isn’t already taking advantage of Misaka can read more about how to get started with it in our full tutorial post.
