Digital Notes, Snippety, HyperPhoto and other apps to check out this weekend

Welcome back for another episode of our Apps of the Week roundup. This week we have some great selections for you including a digital note-taking app, a productivity app for power users and a super smart photo editor. And as always, we’ve selected a great new game for you to check out.

Digital Notes

Digital Notes is, as the name suggests, an app for taking digital handwritten notes. Obviously there are hundreds of apps out there that do this already, including the stock Notes app, but just look at these beautiful screenshots. Mind-mapping! Jokes aside, this is just a solid note-taker with iCloud and Pencil support, tags and a bunch of markup tools.

Snippety

Snippety is kind of like Automator meets Text Expander. The way it works is: in any text field type Command + arrow up + space, find your snippet and hit enter, and it automatically pastes. Perfect for often-used phrases, code fragments, mail templates and more. Mix in scripts and you can unlock a whole world of possibilities.

HyperPhoto: Editor

If you find yourself wanting to try out a new photo editor, check out HyperPhoto. It has some handy features like object/background removal, and it utilizes CoreML technology so all processing happens on your phone—no servers. Other features include filters, color adjustments, layer management, text and more.

Diablo Immortal

I’m sure most of you are aware of it by now, but I couldn’t just not talk about the Diablo Immortal launch this week. It’s a new RPG from Blizzard, set between the events of Diablo II and Diablo III. It’s cross-platform with the PC version, and it looks like they included just about every Diablo feature you could ask for. Early reviews have been glowing.
