Video tips and tricks for making the most of the third-generation iPhone SE (2022)

What’s up with the chin?

The iPhone SE does many things right, but people will hardly know that you’ve upgraded from the previous model. Both the new and the previous iPhone SE look exactly the same. The lack of newness in terms of fresh design is the single biggest deal-killer when it comes to recommending the new iPhone SE to people who want a modern fullscreen experience. But as an overall package, the new iPhone SE has a lot going for it.

The most affordable iPhone

A Home button? In 2022? Okay…

Apple announced the third-generation iPhone SE during its “Peek Performance” online broadcast on March 18, 2022. Compared with its predecessor, Apple equipped the third-generation iPhone SE with the A15 Bionic, its latest smartphone chip. This ensures that iPhone SE 3 owners will get at least five years of iOS updates before things start to slow down and major new features are unsupported.

It’s interesting that Apple continues to advertise the iPhone SE as “the most affordable iPhone.” That’s quite true but only because Apple no longer sells the previous model which was even more affordable at just $399. Due to 5G (those Qualcomm modems surely don’t come cheap), the new iPhone SE is an extra $30.
