Apple releases tvOS 15.1.1, bringing the TV app, Siri and App Store to South Korea

While Apple continues to work on the next big update for its mobile operating system (and iPadOS), the company has seen fit to release another minor update in the meantime. But this one’s for its set-top boxes, the Apple TV HD and the Apple TV 4K, which is a small change of pace for Apple to say the least.

On Monday, November 1, 2021, Apple launched tvOS 15.1.1 to the public. As one can imagine from the version number, this is a minor update in the grand scheme of things. So don’t expect any major new features to be added to the mix.

Here’s a breakdown of what Apple has added or tweaked in this latest software update, as acknowledged by a support document on the Apple website that brings all the changelogs for tvOS software updates in one place.

South Korea: With Apple TV, the Apple TV app, Siri and the App Store now available in South Korea, you can get incredible entertainment experiences for the entire family.

Apple TV app: Localization improvements for South Korea.

Apple launched tvOS 15.1 to the public back in October. With that software, Apple added the SharePlay feature to the platform. This allows users to watch videos together with other individuals using FaceTime, along with much more.

tvOS 15.1.1 is available now via the Sofware Update feature on your Apple TV.
