First photo from upcoming ‘Killers of the Flower Moon’ showcases Leonardo DiCaprio and Lily Gladstone

Legendary director Martin Scorsese is currently working on his next project, a period piece set in the 1920s starring Leonardo DiCaprio (Titanic), which is coming soon to Apple TV+. And now, we finally have a look at the upcoming film.

Killers of the Flower Moon has been in the works for quite some time, only confirmed to be heading to Apple’s video streaming service back in May of last year. Now, almost one year later and we finally have a look at the first photo from the upcoming drama. The first-look image shows off DiCaprio as Ernest Burkhart, and Lily Gladstone (Billions) as Ernest’s wife, Mollie.

In the photo, we can see Mollie looking at her husband with what may or may not be a bit of a smirk. Things aren’t so happy for Ernest next to her, though. He looks a little rough around the edges, and he could be talking to another character off camera. The photo’s just below, which DiCaprio shared from his official Twitter account earlier today (via Osage News).

Gladstone’s addition to the upcoming film was confirmed in February of this year. Around the same time it was also reported that Jesse Plemons (Judas and the Black Messiah) had joined the cast as well.

The film from Scorsese, who is also executive producing, is based on the book of the same name by author David Grann. The film will also be starring Robert De Niro, among others.

As far a the plot is concerned, as mentioned above the story is set in 1920, and the newly created Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is investigating murders of wealthy Osage Indians who had been given revenue rights to oil discovered under their lands.

We finally have our first look at the upcoming drama, but we’re still waiting for that first official trailer. And, most importantly, a release date. Hopefully both of those things arrive sooner rather than later.
