‘For All Mankind’ gets a companion podcast ahead of season 2 premiere

For All Mankind, the alternate reality sci-fi series on Apple TV+, is set to premiere its second season soon. And Apple is going all-in on the promotion. In fact, this is the show that has seen the company launch its first Apple TV+ companion podcast.

As noted first by 9to5Mac today, Apple TV+ has officially launched its first companion podcast for its original content on the video streaming service. It was rumored quite some time ago that Apple would go down this route, and it’s finally happened. The first of its kind, “For All Mankind: The Official Podcast” is available right now.

However! At the time of publication there’s only one entry in the ongoing podcast series. It’s just the trailer, but that should change soon enough. The podcast is hosted by actor Krys Marshall, who happens to play Danielle Poole in For All Mankind. The series will see new episodes uploaded on a weekly basis, and it will present other actors from the series, as well as space experts, former astronauts, and more.

The space race continues. Join host Krys Marshall and hear from space experts and former astronauts about what really goes down beyond our atmosphere on the official podcast for the Apple TV+ series For All Mankind. Each episode features guests from the series, space experts, and never-before-heard audio that brings these gripping topics further to life. You’ll hear how astronauts achieve the unbelievable.

Podcast production house At Will Media is helping Apple produce the original podcast. There will be 10 episodes in total, fitting nicely with the 10 episodes that will comprise of the second season. That new season will premiere on Friday, February 19, 2021.

Here’s the official trailer for the upcoming original podcast series:

This isn’t the only promotional effort Apple is taking for For All Mankind. The company also launched a dedicated augmented reality experience in a new app.
