If you’re taking advantage of the iOS 13-centric Odyssey jailbreak to enjoy powerful third-party add-ons and extensions on your iPhone or iPad without the nanny company Apple telling you what you can and can’t do on your own device, then you might be excited to learn that the tool was updated to version 1.0.2 on Friday.
The Odyssey Team announced the latest Odyssey jailbreak tool update via Twitter just this morning, and from what we can gather, it incorporates the following changes for users to take advantage of:

– Fixes intermittent kernel panics that could happen of “unexpected exec of non-platform binary”
– Included Sileo build now properly asks for network connection on Chinese devices
In addition to making the Odyssey user experience more stable with the help of a kernel panic fix, the latest version of the jailbreak now bundles the latest version of the Sileo package manager with its bevy of speed improvements and the likes. The latter means one fewer step for new Odyssey users; more specifically, not needing to upgrade the default package manager right out of the box.
A follow-up Tweet shared minutes later by Odyssey Team lead developer CoolStar noted that the older iOS 12-based Chimera jailbreak would soon be updated with the same changes:
If you’re an Odyssey jailbreak user, then you can download the latest version of the jailbreak tool from theodyssey.dev. Those using the Wander add-on for Apple’s Shortcuts app can merely tap on a shortcut to download the latest version of Odyssey with even less hassle, although a utility such as AltStore, ReProvision, or a signing service like Jailbreaks.app will be required.
