In this edition of our Apps of the Week roundup we have a new minimal podcast player, a simple note-taker, and an app for covering up faces in photos. And as always, we’ve selected two great new games for you to check out.
Baucast
Chances are you’ve already decided on your go-to Podcast app, but for those looking for something new, check out Baucast. It’s a simple, easy-to-use podcast player with handy features like built-in, exportable notes, dark mode support and even alternate app icons.
Nimble Notes
In a similar vein, Nimble Notes is a fast and extremely simple note-taking app. So where other apps may be packed full of powerful features hidden behind a subscription service or IAPs, all Nimble does is let you type, copy and clear. You can use it for any thought, anywhere.
Cover Face
Have you ever posted an image of yourself with friends or maybe family members and thought, oh they probably don’t want their face in such a public place? That’s where Cover Face comes in. It’s just a small, simple app that can automatically detect faces in photos and cover them with emoji.
TokoToko
Here’s an interesting game if you want to see what all of the augmented reality fuss is about. TakoToko is an adventure title in which you must help young Hako become an artist by solving creative puzzles with AR interactions and by scanning real paper drawings.
Takoway
Here’s a fun-looking 3D perspective puzzler. In Takoway, you follow Tako the hexapus as she goes on a six-legged journey to escape captivity and find her place in the world. Features include two-fold 3D puzzles, vibrant in-game art, beautiful soundtrack, and more.
