Apple TV+ series ‘Dickinson’ will headline Tribeca TV Festival

Apple TV+ has a laundry list of original content coming down the pike, including the comedy series Dickinson, which will be leading the charge in a major festival soon.

The upcoming series, which stars Hailee Steinfeld (BumblebeeThe Edge of Seventeen) and Jane Krakowski (30 Rock), will be headlining the upcoming Tribeca TV Festival according to Variety. With the headline status, this means Apple TV+’s upcoming series will make its premiere on Saturday, September 14.

Series creator, showrunner and executive producer Alena Smith, known for her work on “The Affair” and “The Newsroom,” will participate in a “Dickinson” panel discussion with Steinfeld and Krakowski following the show’s festival premiere that day.

Toby Huss, Anna Baryshnikov, Ella Hunt and Adrian Blake Enscoe round out the ensemble cast.

The series focuses on poet Emily Dickinson (Steinfeld) and will navigate various topics like gender and much more, with a comedic bent. The series is expected to arrive around the time that Apple TV+ launches later this year, so its premiere at the Tribeca TV Festival makes sense for that timeframe.

Apple launched the first teaser trailer for the upcoming comedy series earlier this month. You can check out that trailer just below.

Apple TV+ is rumored to launch sometime between the end of September and November of this year. When it arrives, it could cost $9.99 per month.
