Woz would invest in Facebook regardless of the opening price

Such is the confidence Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak has in the leadership abilities of Facebook’s boss Mark Zuckerberg that he would buy shares of the social networking giant when it goes public on May 17 no matter the opening price.

The famous engineer who created the Apple I computer and co-created the Apple II system in the mid-1970s also sees the 28-year-old Facebook CEO closer to the combination of himself and Steve Jobs.

Specifically, Wozniak called Zuck a "real acute" businessman who mixes technical ability with the vision and corporate acumen of Steve Jobs...

How to use bookmarklets to adjust font sizes in mobile Safari

For the most part, mobile Safari serves its purpose as the default web browser in iOS. But it's definitely not feature-packed. And to get more options, you typically have to either install a third party browser, or add a jailbreak tweak.

But OSXDaily points to a cool trick that makes adding a new feature to Safari as easy as creating a couple of bookmarklets. Have you ever wanted to quickly change the font size of a website on your iPhone or iPad? Well, here's how...

Octopus Keyboard brings a BlackBerry 10 styled keyboard to the iPhone

I may be in the minority, but I think RIM seems to be on the right track with their recently unveiled BlackBerry 10 operating system. There's nothing in it exactly groundbreaking, but at least RIM appears to be building on a solid foundation for the future.

Whether or not BlackBerry 10 is enough to save the reeling company still remains to be seen, but at the very least it's a good attempt by the Waterloo, Ontario based smartphone maker.

As a testament to how much better BlackBerry 10 is when compared to previous BlackBerry software, a jailbreak tweak has been created that actually emulates the functionality of a BlackBerry. Has that ever been done before?

Octopus Keyboard is an upcoming jailbreak tweak that seeks to bring RIM's new gesture based predictive typing to iPhone users. The tweak is still in the early stages of development, but developer, Mario Hros, was kind enough to give me sneak peak of what he's been concocting.

Take a look inside for a full video walkthrough of Octopus Keyboard in action...

Loewe confirms it is not in talks over a potential takeover by Apple

We told you not long ago that German TV maker Loewe was potentially the subject of an audacious takeover bid by iPhone and iPad maker, Apple. The rumor made a modicum of sense considering talk of an Apple Television being in the works just won't go away.

Now though, such a takeover appears to be out of the question, with the Germans themselves saying that no such takeover talks are in process after contacting German site, Heise.

Rumors of a $113 million buyout have been quashed after Loewe's official stance was recorded as there being 'absolutely nothing to it.'

Rumor: purported iPhone 5 headphone jack/earpiece surfaces

Despite recent reports that Apple hasn't finalized the design for its next-generation handset yet, purported 'iPhone 5' part leaks seem to be picking up. We've seen home buttons, a SIM tray, and now another one has surfaced.

MacRumors points to a new headphone jack/earpiece/Wi-Fi cable component that recently popped up on SW-BOX.com. Although the piece shows out of stock, the parts vendor claims that it indeed belongs to the iPhone 5...

US town to make texting while walking illegal. Really!

We all know that texting while driving is a huge safety risk and illegal in most countries and states, but what about texting while walking? Is that dangerous, too? Maybe this is the perfect ad for Apple's Siri?

If you've ever walked into a lamp post whilst sending a message – come on, admit it – then you'll probably say yes, but we doubt most would agree. If you happen to be passing through one US town though, texting while working could actually land you in trouble and hurt your wallet to boot.

Fort Lee, New Jersey, is set to be the first to ban texting while walking, with a fine being levied against those that flout the law. No, really...

TMZ, a celebrity news site, just posted a set of nice photos depicting actor Ashton Kutcher dressed in Apple's late co-founder Steve Jobs' classic attire.

The flick is not to be confused with Sony's biopic entitled Steve Jobs: The Movie, based on Walter Isaacson's authorized bio book.

Apple renames ‘iPad Wi-Fi + 4G’ to ‘iPad Wi-Fi + Cellular’ in several countries

Well it looks like after months of fighting with the Australian government, and several other organizations, Apple has finally broken down and removed the '4G' branding from its tablet.

9to5Mac made the discovery just a few moments ago, pointing out that the one time named 'iPad Wi-FI + 4G' tablet model has been renamed to 'iPad Wi-Fi + Cellular' in Apple's online store...

TinyUmbrella 5.11.00 out with support for iOS 5.1.1

As most of you know, Apple released an update to iOS last week, bringing the firmware to 5.1.1. The new software doesn't contain much more than bug fixes, but if you updated to it, you'll want to save your SHSH blobs.

Luckily you can do that with the latest version of TinyUmbrella. NotCom has just released TU 5.11.00 with support for the latest version of iOS. And if you haven't been saving your SHSH blobs, you might want to start...
