Poll: do you still listen to Beats 1?

Beats 1 launched on Apple Music nearly six months ago to much fanfare, but today, the service doesn't seem to garner as much interest as it first did back in June. I myself listened to Beats 1 a bit, but the novelty quickly wore off, and the multiple genres played all days just didn't sit well with my specific tastes in music.

I know I haven't listened to Beats 1 in weeks, possibly months, and I am curious to see if more people feel the same way as I do, hence this poll.

As Mac app will be revamped soon, Twitter starts rolling out polls in tweets

Twitter today said that it'll be rolling out the ability to embed custom polls in tweets to all users over the next few days.

Originally tested with a small subset of its user base, polls in tweets will permit everyone to interact with their followers and get the public's opinion on just about anything by embedding customized polls in tweets.

In addition, Twitter's Mac app will be getting a thorough revamp soon with a new dark mode alongside a bunch of new features borrowed from the mobile edition of the software, including in-line Vine and video playback, photos in Direct Messages and in-line replies and much more.

Poll: What’s your favorite thing about the iPhone 6s?

Now that the iPhone 6s has been here for a few days and we've been able to at least partly digest its presence, it's time to tell us about your favorite new feature. Is it the new rose gold color? How about 2GB of RAM? Or maybe you think 3D Touch widely exceeds expectations?

We have our favorites, now it's time to share yours. Vote in our poll, and let your opinion be heard.

Poll: are you planning on buying iPad Pro?

Apple's new iPad Pro with its epic 12.9-inch display, super smooth performance courtesy of Apple's third-generation 64-bit 'A9X' microchip, four speaker audio, enhanced multitouch technology with lag-free Apple Pencil performance—to name but a few of its headline features—doesn't file as the most attractive, powerful iOS device but also the priciest yet.

Starting at $799 for the entry level Wi-Fi-only 32 GB model and going all the way up to a whopping $1,079 for the flagship Wi-Fi + Cellular edition with 128 GB of storage, the iPad Pro will essentially compete with Apple's own MacBook Air and Microsoft's Surface Pro tablet with a similar price level.

It won't be available until November and launch quantity will be limited, which doesn't mean you shouldn't start saving now for the device, quite the contrary. But the big question is, will you buy an iPad Pro?

Poll: which new iPhone 6s feature is your favorite?

Apple is “on pace to beat” last year’s ten million unit first-weekend record as the new iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus are about to go on sale on September 25. Chances are that you have by now read all there is about the new iPhones and their major hardware improvements and new features.

Our non-scientific poll has indicated that most people have pre-ordered a 4.7-inch iPhone 6s with sixty-four gigabytes of storage, with Space Gray being the most popular finish. Today, we're asking you to take another poll and tell us what specific feature of the new iPhones you happen to be looking forward the most.

Poll: Which iPhone 6s did you buy?

As expected, iPhone 6s pre-orders began in the wee hours on Saturday morning. Like always, Apple's latest iPhone proved to be a hot seller, and many of the models, especially the rose gold, are now on backorder.

All of us at iDB have our pre-orders in. What about you? Participate in our reader poll and help us tally some stats.

Poll: what are you most excited about for Apple’s September 9 media event?

Apple has reportedly scheduled a media event for Wednesday, September 9, to announce not just new iPhones but other product refreshes, too. Well-connected John Paczkowski, Managing Editor for BuzzFeed San Francisco, has it on good authority that the press conference will serve as a launchpad for next-generation iPhones and iPads.

Moreover, there's even a brand new Apple TV hardware in tow that should be unveiled during the event. With that in mind, we want to learn what you, our readers, are most excited about for the September 9 event.

Poll: will you continue using Apple Music past the trial period?

Apple Music has been available for a little more than a month now and the service already has dozens, if not hundreds of problems to complain about which have earned it mixed reviews from the press.

Apple Music's biggest advantage, its tight integration with the rest of the Apple ecosystem, is being erased for some amid a flurry of issues, ranging from disappearing music, issues with DRM, user interface inconsistencies and poor implementation in iTunes, to mention just a few.

You've heard the horror stories and have hopefully played long enough with Apple Music in order to make an informed decision as to whether or not you'll continue using it once the free three-month trial expires.

Poll: Are you buying the new iPod touch 6th generation?

The new iPod touch has arrived, and although its buzz is far below that of iPhone or even iPad levels, the excitement can still be felt throughout the community. As you know by now, this is the first new iPod touch since 2012, and it brings with it a much-needed and hefty specs update.

With this in mind, will you be purchasing a 6th generation iPod touch? Please participate in our poll and let us know.

Poll: Does a Mac version of TaiG even matter at this point?

The TaiG jailbreak for either iOS 8.3 or iOS 8.4 has been out for over two and a half weeks. Many users have jailbroken their iPhone, iPads, and iPod touches as a result.

Even though the TaiG tool has been Windows-only this entire time, plenty of Mac-only jailbreakers have been able to use it by means of a Bootcamp partition, or a virtual machine—which is far and away the most popular way to jailbreak on a Mac.

So the question stands to be asked: do you even care about a Mac version of TaiG at this point? Rumors are swirling that a Mac tool is indeed in the works, but it's been so long, I imagine most who were starving for a jailbreak either used a friend's Windows computer, or took advantage of one of the above options.

Vote in our poll and let us know...

Poll: Will you jailbreak iOS 8.3?

Now that Cydia Substrate is available, users can now enjoy the many jailbreak tweaks and apps available on Cydia. Given the timing of this iOS 8.3 release, we're interested to know what our readers think about the jailbreak overall.

Are you jailbroken? Do you plan on doing so soon? Or are you holding off altogether? Sound off in our poll, and check to see where you stand with regard to other jailbreakers.

Poll: how does Google Photos compare to Apple’s Photos app + iCloud Photo Library combo?

Among a flurry of yesterday's announcements at the Google I/O developer conference, the Internet giant launched Google Photos, its brand spanking new photography service available across iOS, Android and on the web. It offers unlimited storage (with a  few caveats) and has many other compelling features that give Apple's iCloud Photo Library a fairly good run for its money.

To name but a few: world-class facial recognition that understands aging, sleek design, fast performance, unmatched search and machine intelligence, the ability to create a movie, collage or animated GIF in seconds and more.

The question is, will you be turning to Google Photos as a backup solution for the media you've amassed on your iOS device? Or, perhaps you'll be sticking with Apple's iCloud Photo Library even though it offers a meager five gigabytes of free cloud storage? Planning on using Google Photos alongside iCloud Photo Library, are we? Not a big fan of either service, you say?

Tell us in today's poll!
