We’re a little bit late to the party on this one, but if you haven’t seen this new OS X Pad HD theme for the iPad, you have to check it out. You’ve seen OS X themes before, but you’ve never seen anything like this.
The theme has a fully functional Finder bar with interactive menu options, a customizable dock, and editable folders that look just like real OS X folders. It almost seems more like a software upgrade than a theme… Read More

A certain theme entitled Metroon has garnered all types of publicity from outlets that normally don’t cover jailbreak apps, tweaks, or themes. Perhaps that has a little to do with the fact that it’s one of the first Windows 8 styled themes to appear on the iPhone?
At any rate, we’ve decided to take Metroon for a spin. What we found was a solid DreamBoard theme that will set you back $1.50 on Cydia’s ModMyi repo. But is it deserving of the hype? Read More

It’s no secret that I’m pretty pumped about Amazon’s Kindle Fire. While I know that may seem disgraceful to say on iDownloadBlog, I have to admit that the Fire looks sort of compelling.
The Kindle Fire is obviously no match for the iPad, but it isn’t trying to compete with the iPad — that’s why I think it’ll succeed. Now that the formalities are out of the way, let’s talk about Kindle Fire for iPhone — a DreamBoard theme that make your iPhone look similar to Amazon’s upcoming foray into the world of tablets… Read More

I’ve reviewed tons of DreamBoard themes over the last 6 months, and I’ve stumbled upon some really spectacular work.
Themes such as Asymmetric HD and AppleWeb HD set high bars for what to expect out of the DreamBoard framework.
As good as those themes are, nothing could prepare me for the meticulously detailed OS X Lion Ultimatum, which is far and away the best iPhone theme I’ve ever seen or used… Read More

Everyday I receive multiple emails inquiring about the whereabouts of the DreamStore. For those of you who don’t know, the DreamStore was the means by which one could download and purchase DreamBoard themes, sort of like its own dedicated app store.
Recently, the DreamStore has ceased to function. The app is there, but attempting to use it yields connectivity errors. Apparently, the DreamStore has gone the way of the dodo.
Thankfully for all of the DreamBoard diehards, there are a couple of viable alternatives to the DreamStore; I share them in this video walkthrough… Read More

DreamBoard, the popular iPhone theme solution, has gone free on Cydia after previously selling for $2.99. Dreamboard is a popular Winterboard alternative that can mimic the looks of Android, Windows 7 etc.
Dreamboard works differently than Winterboard, because it doesn’t require you to respring each time you switch themes, and it can achieve deep UI customizations without having to install other jailbreak applications… Read More

Today we’re going to talk about something a little different in the theming universe. I’d like to introduce to you a DreamBoard theme called ErgoHD.
Now this isn’t your typical iPhone theme for a number of reasons, and the first reason of course being that it’s a DreamBoard theme and not your run of the mill WinterBoard affair.
Secondly, Ergo HD is aiming primarily at the non-ambidextrous demographic, seeing as its main selling point is being able to use it comfortably with either hand.
Sound interesting? Then check out this video walkthrough of Ergo HD… Read More

A few days ago, iPhone theming platform DreamBoard received a much-needed update that brought stability, full keyboard access, app icon caching, and much more to the table.
It was such a big update, that I figured it warranted a whole new walkthrough to show off its new fresh coat of paint.
With DreamBoard’s core updates comes a refresh to the built in Endroid HD theme as well, and let me tell you, it’s very easy on the eyes.
Before, it was safe to say that DreamBoard was a promising, but much maligned theming framework. With this latest update, a lot of its ailments have been cured, transforming it into a legitimate springboard replacement for the iPhone… Read More
