Jailbreak iPhone 4.3.1 with Sn0wBreeze [Tutorial]

by Alex Heath on Apr 4, 2011

iH8sn0w has updated his Windows jailbreak tool, called Sn0wBreeze, with the untethered jailbreak for iOS 4.3.1. Sn0wBreeze is now the third tool available for an untethered jailbreak on iOS 4.3.1 (alongside PwnageTool and RedSn0w).

Sn0wbreeze 2.5 is hardly different from its last beta, except that is uses i0n1c’s untethered exploit. An added bonus is that the hidden multitouch gestures in iOS 4.3 are enabled with Sn0wBreeze. These gestures were unearthed a couple of months ago, and iH8sn0w has found a way to enable them in his latest jailbreak tool.

Sn0wBreeze is not recommended for those wishing to preserve their unlock. Again, Sn0wBreeze is Windows only. Read More

Sn0wbreeze is now the more stable option for jailbreak iOS 4.3.1, but there is still no untethered solution available. Jailbreak devs are working hard to release an official untethered jailbreak for the latest version of iOS, but there is no exact ETA set. Read More

Sn0wbreeze 2.3 Beta Will Jailbreak iOS 4.3 on Windows

by Cody on Mar 13, 2011

After we posted that i0n1c was going to wait until 4.3.1 to release his jailbreak, it seemed as though early iOS 4.3 adopters were left without many options. That situation changed yesterday when Sn0wbreeze 2.3 Beta was released into the wild.

iPhone hacker, iH8sn0w, decided to give Windows users a jailbreak solution for Apple’s latest 4.3 software. It is important to note that Sn0wbreeze is only available on the Windows platform, and that it is a tethered jailbreak. That means that every time you reboot your iDevice, it needs to be connected to your computer to rerun the jailbreak software…

Apple has had enough of Microsoft’s wining, and has retaliated by calling out the generic nature of the term “Windows.” Bet you didn’t see that coming, Microsoft.
