The USB-C Multiport Adapter 8K With Ethernet V3 brings extensive display options, networking and expansion ports to your Mac, all via a single USB-C connection to your laptop that includes 85W passthrough charging.

Made from aluminum, the new Satechi accessory brings versatile display options that include up to 8K resolution at 60Hz and fast USB ports up to 10Gb/s.

The accessory is designed for Mac and Windows computers, but you can use it with other systems that support USB-C connectivity, including iPhones, iPads, Chromebooks and more without installing additional software or drivers.

  • 8K at 30Hz
  • 4K at 120Hz
  • 2K at 144Hz
  • 1080p at 240Hz

Next to the HDMI port on the front are three data ports.

Each of them supports USB 3.2 Gen 2 transfer speeds of up to 10Gb/s and is compatible with Thunderbolt 3, Thunderbolt 4 and USB4. On the back is an additional USB port rated at 5Gb/s, along with a UHS-II SD card reader slot for transferring data from memory cards three times faster than UHS-I card readers.

The integrated braided USB-C cable is a nice touch though you’ll need to provide your own USB-C power cable to connect the adapter to a 100W input, like a USB-C charger or power bank. For those wondering, passthrough charging is rated at 85W—enough to charge a MacBook Air or MacBook Pro.

HDMI, Ethernet and other ports

  • 1x USB-C Power Delivery (100W in, 85W out)
  • 1x HDMI 2.1
  • 3x USB 3.2 Gen 2 (10Gbps)
  • 1x USB 3.2 Gen 1 (5Gbps)
  • 1x UHS-II SD 4.0 card reader (312Mb/s, 2TB capacity)
  • 1x Gigabit Ethernet (10/100/1000Mbps)

Keep in mind that the USB-C ports do not support video output. For optimal performance, Satechi recommends connecting one bus-powered device at a time. While the USB data ports are not recommended for charging, they should supply enough power to recharge a low-power device like your AirPods.
