This tweak keeps your music playing while you record video

If you’ve ever tried listening to music and recording video from the Camera app at the same time, then you’ve probably noticed the app is designed to automatically silence your music the moment you tap on the record button.

A new free jailbreak tweak called Dndmymusic by iOS developer Demy Kromhof circumvents this restriction by allowing you to continue listening to music as you record footage from the Camera app.

Twitter planning to air live video 24/7

Twitter has hinted at plans to eventually air live video 24/7 via both its website and app. That's coming from the mouth of its CFO and COO Anthony Noto, who discussed plans for an always-on Twitter with BuzzFeed News on Wednesday morning, ahead of the company’s earnings report.

Refusing to offer a timetable for the feature, he did acknowledge that the micro-blogging platform wants to build on the more than 800 hours of live shows it aired in the first three months of 2017, including live sports, election coverage and programming from Bloomberg, BuzzFeed and the like.

Apple announces that Final Cut Pro X now has two million users

Apple announced at this week’s annual National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) conference that its Final Cut Pro X video-editing software for Mac has now reached two million users, or “seats“. Five years ago, the Cupertino company launched a major redesign of the app which temporarily killed many advanced features.

Needless to say, the move irked Apple's pro users some of whom have since switched to Adobe Premiere and other rival apps. Thankfully, Apple has since added back a lot of the missing features via free updates.

Apple postpones its Carpool Karaoke spinoff until later this year

“Carpool Karaoke”, Apple's first original series based on the popular segment of “The Late Late Show” with James Corden, has been officially delayed until later this year, Reuters was able to confirm Tuesday. The show was supposed to make its debut on Apple Music this month and Apple has even created a star-laden trailer for it ahead of launch.

According to Reuters' sources, a premiere party for the series was originally scheduled for March in Los Angeles, but got postponed without explanation days before it was to take place.

Apple is putting the final touches on its new campus in Cupertino, called Apple Park, and drone pilot Duncan Sinfield took his Inspire 1 Pro to the skies and flew it above the 175 acre site at night. Apple is expected to being moving in employees this month, a process expected to take six months during which time the company will be completing landscaping and other work at the site.

Chinese government takes issue with live streaming apps on App Store

Chinese regulators have taken issue with live-streaming apps that can be downloaded from App Store. As Reuters said Wednesday citing the official Xinhua News Agency, a government body in China’s capital charged with regulating Internet services is planning to “summon” Apple and urge the company to “tighten its checks” regarding live-streaming apps on App Store.

iOS users can now broadcast 360-degree videos on Periscope

Twitter in December 2016 launched 360-degree video streaming on Periscope, its live video broadcasting service.
