‘F.lux’ Helps Prevent Eyestrain When Using Your iPhone at Night

It's been a long time coming, but one of my favorite OS X utilities has made its way to iOS. Indeed, f.lux just appeared on the iPhone, but not via the conventional App Store method.

f.lux is a handy utility that automatically adjusts the color temperature of your screen, resulting in significantly reduced eye-strain.

Unfortunately, due to the nature of f.lux, it pretty much has no chance of ever appearing on the official App Store. Thankfully, the team behind this excellent tweak has found refuge on Cydia...

Skype for iPhone and iPad Updated with Ads, Bluetooth Support, Image Stabilization

Skype has updated its iPhone and iPad apps in the App Store with several new changes and features. Bluetooth headset support has finally been added to Skype for iOS. A "bugfix for security vulnerability" has also been added, making us think that the privacy vulnerability from earlier has been patched.

Anti-shake technology has also been introduced to help stabilize users' video streams during a call. Skype has also added in-app advertisements for those who haven't purchased Skype credit...

How to Stitch Your SHSH Blobs Using RedSn0w to Create Firmware That Can Always Be Downgraded

If you checked out our RedSn0w 0.9.9b1 video walkthrough, you saw for yourself how much of a drastic change the latest version is.

One of the most compelling features added to the new RedSn0w, is the ability to 'stitch' your SHSH blobs to their corresponding firmwares. This makes it so that you have a self contained means of downgrading firmware, well after it stops being signed by Apple.

Even better, is the fact that it's completely standalone, meaning you won't have to do any trickery in order to get iTunes to let you downgrade. By stitching an SHSH blob to a firmware file, iTunes is none the wiser.
