How to Save SHSH Blobs Using TinyUmbrella [Video]

There's no two ways around it, TinyUmbrella is just as much of a staple to jailbreakers, as the tools that actually perform the jailbreaks. For that reason, I figured it was only right to create a standalone TinyUmbrella tutorial, which shows you how to manage your SHSH blobs.

With TinyUmbrella, your blobs can be retrieved from either Apple, or Cydia. In this video tutorial, I show you the difference between both methods and how to save your SHSH blobs for possible firmware downgrades...

CodeThemed: Easily Create Custom Themes for Your iPad, iPhone, or iPod Touch, And Share Them With the World

For many iDevice owners, the ability to use custom themes has been more of a secondary benefit to jailbreaking, than an outright reason to jailbreak, but that's beginning to change.

With the rise in popularity of theme platforms such as DreamBoard, and the WinterBoard enhancing theme stores such as ThemeIt, there's little doubt that many are seeing this as the reason to jailbreak their iDevices.

CodeThemed takes the premise of theming to the next level, allowing users to easily and quickly create their own custom themes; rate, share, and download from a community of users. Be sure to check out the full in-depth video walkthrough after the break...

QuickSafari: Search Google From Anywhere

QuickSafari is another Activator-based Google search tool, that allows you to perform searches and browse to specific URLs from anywhere on your iPhone.

It's a great tool, and one that I believe should be included as a native iOS feature. Until then, we'll have to rely on the great jailbreak community to meet our needs in this area, and QuickSafari doesn't disappoint...

Brightness Icons: Brightness Controls Right on Your Home Screen

There's no shortage of brightness adjusting tweaks available on Cydia. You've got tweaks like Light Bright, SBBrightness, LockGestures, and many others that are all capable of adjusting your iPhone's brightness.

The Just Mobile UpStand is One Sleek Looking iPad Stand

I consider myself to be fairly savvy when it comes to iPad accessories and peripherals, especially so when it comes to stands and cases.

I've had stands that have acted as cases, cases that have acted as stands, portable stands, stationary stands, and more. In other words, I've see a lot of good, and I've seen a lot of bad.

The UpStand from Just Mobile, is fortunately, one of the good stands to add on the list; dare I say it's even great? Check out my full video review of this beautiful iPad stand after the break...

SLShortcuts: Run Text Commands Directly From Spotlight

When it comes to Spotlight on the iPhone, there are two camps. Ones who use it, and others that find it completely worthless.

If you're in the latter camp, perhaps SLShortcuts will change your mind? It's an upcoming jailbreak tweak, which allows you to run custom text commands directly from your Spotlight search...

Ask Jeff: Episode 07 – A Life Without Jailbreaking Just Isn’t Living

As many of you know, I've been an avid jailbreaker of my iPhone ever since it was announced that jailbreaking was officially legal.

True, I never really thought the whole "illegal" aspect had a leg to stand on in the first place, but I do my best to play within the rules.

Now that jailbreaking has become a part of my life, a viewer inquires about the possibility of it going away as time moves forward. I consider this prospect, and many other questions in Episode 07 of Ask Jeff...

SwitcherPages: Add Page Dots to Your App Switcher

Sometimes, the simplest things in life are the best things in life. Take cookies for example; they're not complex, in fact, they're just batter and chocolate chips; but for a cookie lover, they're oh so delightful.

You can think of SwitcherPages in much of the same way. It's not the most complex tweak in the world, but if you like the concept of gathering your bearings on the App Switcher menu, it's a great thing to have...

LockSecondsIndicator: Add Seconds to Your Lockscreen

LockSecondsIndicator isn't the first tweak that adds seconds to your lockscreen clock, but it just might be the best.

A while back, I reviewed a similar tweak entitled ClockSeconds. That tweak attempted to do something similar, but it had its fair share of issues.

Does LockSecondsIndicator fair any better? Look inside for the video evidence...
