Top jailbreak videos of the week

Last week's biggest release was Stride, the 8-bit inspired passcode drawing method for unlocking your iDevice. We highly recommend you check out Stride based on the obvious amount of effort put into creating the tweak. Not only that, but it works really well, too.

But that's not the only top video of the week; there are others as well, as you'll see inside.

Please be sure to share our iPhone, iPad, and iOS video guides by spreading our posts on Twitter and Facebook.

How to reclaim your pre iOS 5.1 Lock screen camera functionality

Redire is a recently released jailbreak tweak that allows you to venture back to the days before Apple changed the Lock screen camera functionality for iOS 5.1.

It's extremely simple in both its purpose and execution, and includes no options to configure. After installing Redire your Lock screen camera will function almost exactly like it does on iOS 5 or iOS 5.0.1.

We like it, and we suggest you give it a shot. Head over to Cydia's ModMyi repo where you can download it for free. Be sure to let us know what you think about it.

Update: We've been alerted that AppMosaic has a bug preventing it from showing up properly once installed. The bug is currently being addressed.

Hate Home screen badges? Take a look at this

Do you harbor an abnormal amount of hatred for the notification badges that litter your iPhone's Home screen? If so, then perhaps these new jailbreak apps will satisfy your craving for badge destruction.

No AppStore Badges, No Cydia Badges, and OTA Begone are three new jailbreak apps that will help eliminate notification badges. But as you'll come to understand, it doesn't make sense to install any of these if your aim is to simply eliminate all badges.

There's something much better already available in Cydia from a well respected developer. Check inside for the full details...

Want to see how an iPad is made? Watch this video

Earlier this month, Marketplace's Shanghai Bureau Chief Rob Schmitz found his way into Foxconn's Longhua facility, where many of Apple's iPads are made. He's only the second reporter ever to be allowed on to the company's factory floor.

Schmitz uploaded a video of his visit to the plant today, which included a tour of an iPad assembly line and an inside look into the lives of Foxconn's employees. Want to see how an iPad is made? Make sure to watch the clip after the break...

Siri speaks Hindi with a little help from a proxy server

Last month, Apple released iOS 5.1 to the masses. The update included few new features, but it did bring Japanese Siri support. This brought the digital assistant's number of compatible languages up to a whopping... four.

But if Siri doesn't currently support your language, that doesn't mean you're out of luck. Developer Kunal Kaul took matters into his own hands and taught Siri to speak Hindi — with a little help from his proxy server...

Wouldn't it be great if you could have Facebook integration that acted similar to iOS' built in Twitter integration? Well, now you can.

Here’s how to use AT&T’s online chat to unlock your iPhone

So yeah, I was lazy. Unlike Cody, I don't have the patience to wait on hold, or be placed in a revolving door of automated prompts. It was either head directly to the store, or give AT&T's technical support chat a try.

Thankfully, AT&T's technical support chat has a pretty good track record with me; I figured I'd give that a try before deciding to burn a gallon of gas to head to the closest AT&T store. Would they even be open on a holiday anyway?

At the end of the day, I'm glad I decided on this method. In less than 10 minutes the unlocking process for my iPhone was initiated, saving me time, gas money, and a potential headache.

Whereas it took Cody about 20 minutes to initiate his iPhone 4 unlock, it took me less than 10 minutes. Folks, it really doesn't get any simpler than this...
