Clear to-do app updated with iCloud support and more

Realmac Software has just released a new OS X version of its popular Clear to-do app. That's right, the popular list-maker is now available for the Mac, and it includes a lot of the same gestures and UI stuff from the iOS version.

Speaking of the iOS version, Realmac also released a major update to its iPhone app yesterday. Clear 1.2 contains several new features including iCloud-syncing, which goes great with the new Mac app, quote sharing, and more...

Xbox SmartGlass app now available on iOS

Last year, Microsoft released an Xbox companion app on iOS that allowed you to access your Xbox LIVE account, chat with friends and customize your avatar. It later added movie playback controls.

Apple rejects Sparrow’s iPhone 5 update

Bad news for folks who were looking forward to Sparrow's iPhone 5 update. It appears that it's going to take longer than anticipated, as Apple has rejected the update submission due to it violating its App Store guidelines.

Sparrow developer Dinh Viet Hoa announced the news yesterday afternoon via Twitter, saying that Apple had not approved the team's latest update for its iOS app, which included support for iOS 6 and the new iPhone...

Redsn0w 0.9.15b3 is out with improvements and bug fixes

The Dev Team has updated its popular jailbreak utility RedSn0w today, bringing the software to version 0.9.15b3. Although it closely follows Apple's release of iOS 6.0.1, it doesn't seem to include any 6.0.1-specific changes.

Apple releases iOS 6.0.1: fixes keyboard glitch, improves Wi-Fi and more

Apple has this morning released an update to its mobile operating system, iOS 6.0.1. The update comes just a day before the official launch of Apple's new 4th gen iPad and iPad mini.

In iTunes, updating to 6.0.1 is business as usual. But if you have an iPhone 5, you'll likely see the above screen asking you to install an 'Updater' before you receive the actual update. As it states, the Updater fixes a bug that prevents the iPhone 5 from installing updates wirelessly over the air.

Heads up Pandora users, the internet streaming company pushed out a significant update to its iOS client last night. The update brings the app to version 4.0, and includes loads of new features and improvements.

Amazon updates Kindle iOS app with X-Ray for Textbooks

Amazon refreshed its Kindle lineup last month ahead of Apple's September 12 iPhone 5 announcement. One of the easily overlooked software features the online retailer also brought out: X-Ray for Books, Textbooks and Movies. In a nutshell, the X-Ray feature intelligently retrieves additional information when you tap an on-screen object, like a movie character, book passages, glossary and what not, also pulling related data from Wikipedia and YouTube to enhance your e-reading experience.

Likewise, X-Ray for Movies lets you learn more about the movie's cast and characters by just tapping the screen, which produces relevant content by cinema site IMDb. In today's update to its free Kindle app, Amazon is bringing X-Ray for Textbooks to iPhones, iPads and iPods...

Apple shows off update for iBooks Author
