Twitterrific updated with notification badges, Favstar support and more

Following last month's monstrous 5.2 release that brought about push notifications and other changes, Iconfactory has released another major update for its popular Twitter client, Twitterrific. Today's update brings the app to version 5.2.1, and again adds several new features.

Perhaps the most significant part of the update is the addition of notification badges, which tells you your number of unread notifications for the app at a glance. It also brings support for Favstar and Twitter's trending topics, and a number of other bug fixes and improvements...

Netflix 4.0 is out with new episode selector for iPad and more

Netflix users will be happy to hear that there's a new version of the iOS client available for download today. The update, which brings the app to version 4.0, includes a handful of new features, as well as the usual bug fixes and improvements.

Perhaps the most notable change in today's release is the new episode selector in the iPad app. Netflix says this will make finding new TV show episodes, and discovering old favorites, much easier. You'll find the full change log after the fold...

Major Foursquare update focuses on search and Explore recommendations

Celebrating its fourth anniversary, the location-based social networking service Foursquare today pushed a major new version of its mobile app, bringing out new features that tap over 3.5 billion check-ins users have made on the service thus far. "With the new Foursquare 6.0, we’re crunching all our data to show the best of what’s nearby, anywhere in the world, the second you open up the app," the team wrote in a blog post Wednesday. Chrome for iOS updated with fullscreen iPhone browsing and new print options

Good news Chrome users, Google has updated its popular browser for iOS today. The update, which brings the app to version 26.0.1410.50, features a few handy new additions, including fullscreen browsing for the iPhone and iPod touch.

The app includes a few UI changes that make the new fullscreen browsing mode work, and a few new print and save options. Users can now print web pages with Google Cloud Print, or AirPrint, and save pages as PDF files to Google Drive...

T-Mobile’s iPhone carrier update is out with support for LTE and Visual Voicemail [updated]

Following up its iPhone 5 pre-order earlier today, T-Mobile has begun rolling out a carrier update to unlocked iPhone customers on its network. The carrier is preparing to officially launch the popular handset next Friday.

Big Jawbone Jambox update improves streaming to iOS devices and more

When it comes to portable Bluetooth speakers, the Jambox is by far my favorite. It may not be the best-sounding, or give you the most bang for your buck, but I love its build quality and design, and the fact that Jawbone issues regular updates.

Twitter app updated with the ability to discover, install and launch apps from tweets

Twitter yesterday announced that it had added support for photo galleries and apps to its Card features. Galleries are now represented in the stream with multiple photo previews, and app developers can embed more details about their apps.

Today, Twitter updated its iOS apps to support the new Card features, claiming that users can now discover, install and launch apps from tweets. And they also beefed up the apps' performance with faster launch times and general bug fixes...

500px app updated with Flow for iPad and other improvements

Premium photo sharing site 500px made a big splash last fall when it finally launched a native app for the iPhone. And despite getting pulled from the App Store for a week in January, it's managed to garner more than a million downloads.

Today 500px has updated its iOS offering, bringing the app to version 2.1. The update includes a new Following and Followers list, so you can keep track of your network, performance improvements and adds the Flow feature to the iPad...

Google’s Quickoffice app updated with iPhone support

Google acquired Quickoffice, a mobile software suite that includes word processor, spreadsheet and presentation apps—all compatible with MS Office, last summer. And in December it released a free Quickoffice iPad app for its Google Apps for Business customers.

Today, it's updated that app with better Google Drive storage integration and, more importantly, support for the iPhone. So if you're a Google Apps for Business subscriber, you can now create, edit and view Word, Excel and PowerPoint files on your Apple handset...

ToDoNotes 2 is out with iOS 6 support

In the summer of 2011, jailbreak developers participated in a cool project called tweak week. Several devs each took a week, and released one new jailbreak tweak everyday. It went on for 3+ months, and we got several great tweaks out of it.

One of those tweaks was ToDoNotes, by TwitkaFly developer moeseth, which added a notepad to the Spotlight page that talked with the Notes app, giving you quick access to your memos. And version 2 just came out with iOS 6 support...

Keep your apps up-to-date with Auto App Updater

I'm on my iPhone all throughout the day, so when an update for an app pops up, I usually grab it right away. On my iPad, however, it's a different story. Sometimes I'll go a couple of days without using it, and the updates tend to pile up.
