Amid everything happening with the iOS 11 jailbreak situation as of late, there hasn’t been very much going on in the iOS 10 department. On the other hand, Sticktron changed that over the weekend by releasing G0blin RC2 to jailbreak most iOS 10-3-10.3.3 devices.
G0blin RC2 comes just two weeks after the launch of G0blin RC1, and it brings a plethora of significant bug fixes and improvements that should appeal to anyone handling a stock iOS 10.3-10.3.3 device.
It was just yesterday that CoolStar’s Electra jailbreak tool for iOS 11.0-11.1.2 got updated to beta 8, but many users reported bugs and using it – predominantly with Safari. Fortunately, Electra beta 8-2 launched on Friday with a fix for these issues, among other things.

Citing Apple’s security content web page, Tuesday’s iOS 11.2.5 update patches a kernel-level exploit discovered by security researcher Russ Cox, and it purportedly works on iOS 11.2-11.2.1.

Update: As suspected, it was just a bug and Apple has once again stopped signing older firmware versions, making it impossible to downgrade. If you were on of the few that was able to downgrade and install an earlier iOS version, you should be able to use that version without any problem.
Saurik revealed a couple of weeks ago that he was working on iOS 11 support for Cydia and Mobile Substrate, but a new comment posted on Reddit by the father of jailbreaking himself highlights that there’s a lot more going on under the hood than meets the eye.
One of the major highlights of the comment is how Saurik teamed up with a prominent developer from the jailbreak community to make all this possible. That developer wishes to remain anonymous at this point in time, but we’ll all eventually learn of his or her identity when the time is right.
