New Report Suggest Verizon iPhone Not Creating Many New iPhone Users

I've seen it, and no doubt you've seen it. A new iPhone is released and people get excited; people line up hours in advance just to get their hands on the latest goods from Apple.

Then there are the folks that have never even owned an iPhone before; many of them are excited as well because this new release will be their first taste of the iPhone.

My point is, if there's one thing that the introduction of a new iPhone does, it's bring excitement to the mobile phone landscape, and guarantee a heaping helping of first time adopters.

Unfortunately, it looks as if the Verizon iPhone 4 didn't quite accomplish that...

Sam's Club is selling AT&T-locked iPhone 4's for $147 with a two-year contract. This offer runs through Christmas day, and is the cheapest retail sale of an iPhone 4 that you will find this holiday season.

The Sam's Club "iPhone Christmas" is part of a growing trend. Retailers everywhere seem to be discounting smartphones around this time of the year, but there hasn't been much discount activity on Apple's coveted iPhone.

While this Sam's Club promotion is short, it's still a killer deal if you're eligible for an iPhone 4 upgrade...

AppShopper App Helps You Find Deals on iPhone Applications

The iPhone App Store has had over 300,000 entries accepted in its short lived history while almost 250,000 are currently available for download. I often find myself asking how I can find an obscure application or when a popular entry might go on sale. Enter AppShopper.

Gizmodo recently reported that the popular website now has a native app for the iPhone that will track when apps go on sale and announce the arrival of recently added entries. Certainly this beats Apple's featured apps tab and the best part about it is, you guessed it, it's free...

Apple is one of the most secretive companies you'll ever deal with. Even when they're about to release a product or report good news, they seem to have a vacuum seal applied to the lips of their employees. This seems to be the case with a piece of less desirable news regarding the eco-friendliness of the iPhone.

U.K. carrier, O2, showed off their "Green Rankings" which show the British consumers which phone hurts the environment least. Sony Ericsson and Nokia lead the way while the Palm Pre Plus bottomed out the ridiculous chart. Where did the iPhone rank? It didn't. Apple chose to keep the iPhone out of the research..

Mexican mobile provider, Telcel, announces that the iPhone 4 is now available for purchase for our (US) neighbors of the South. Apple stores and Sansborns shops are the retailers that will carry the device.

Both the 16 and 32 GB have been released and are powered by a 3.5G HDSPA internet connection. 3 different plans have been released by Telcel for those wishing to own a piece of smartphone history...
