According to a newspaper report out today, Apple has big plans for its upcoming retail outlet tot be located right in the neighborhood of the company's existing Stanford store in Palo Alto, California.

It's gonna feature exquisitely designed interior with a stone wall separating the store into two distinct areas, coupled with Apple's trademark floor-to-ceiling glass walls on the outside and light-colored roof overhead...

Walmart adopts Apple’s boutique store concept with stylish displays carrying iOS devices

Walmart has been selling the new iPad in select stores since the device launched last month. They've also had other Apple products on offer for some time.

Realizing it leaves a lot to be desired, the world's largest retailer is apparently ready to take the shopping experience for its demanding Apple customers to the next level.

Nice-looking photos of stylish Apple displays inside Walmart's store in Arkansas depict a radical departure from the retailer's otherwise dull and poorly maintained shelves carrying electronics.

Akin to a store-within-a-store idea seen at other retailers, the redesigned Apple section would suggest that the mega-retailer is keen on exploring Apple's boutique store concept...

Apple stores in London gearing up for Olympic “onslaught”

Apple's retail stores in London are gearing up for the Olympics as the company is reportedly stocking them with iOS gadgets, as well as international replacement MacBook Pro, MacBook Air and MacBook keyboards.

According to sources, the company is expecting an "onslaught" of journalists and international Olympic visitors and wants to bank on on a foot traffic increase.

We're talking an expected extra 325,000 daily visitors to London for the games, in addition to 10,000 print journalists alone.

In China, security guards fight over Apple’s upcoming “world’s biggest store”

The world's biggest Apple store inside a shopping mall? Pictured above is the huge Parkland Mall shopping mall in Dalian, China, reportedly slated to become the home to the company's biggest retail outlet to date. The obligatory sign is already outside the mall and it reads “Apple’s World’s Biggest Flagship Store will be coming soon”.

Need more evidence? Well, only a flagship Apple store in the making could provoke crazy mall wars as a rival shopping center dispatched its security team to push down Apple's barricades outside the Parkland Mall.

Apple Hires John Browett as SVP of Retail

Apple today announced the hiring of a new Senior Vice President of Retail, with John Browett getting the top job.

Browett, a the former head of Dixons in the UK, takes over from Ron Johnson who left to take up a role at JC Penney last November.

The new hire will start in his new position in April, with Apple CEO Tim Cook seemingly pleased with the new recruit, despite Dixons' poor performance on the UK high street over the last few years...
