This app injects your Instagram feed inside Notification Center’s Today view

There's no shortage of apps on the App Store for browsing Instagram using your iPhone and iPad, and most let you enjoy snaps from people you follow far more elegantly that on Instagram's official iPhone app. But wouldn't it be great if you could check out the latest Instagram photos anywhere in iOS, with a simple pull-down gesture?

That's what Feeday, a new Today Widget for the iPhone and iPad by developer Arcangelo Fiore, does.

Angry Birds 2 coming July 30, Rovio confirms

There's still life left in the Angry Birds franchise as developer Rovio today announced that the official sequel to the original bird-flinging game that started it all will be releasing across mobile platforms in a fortnight, on Thursday, July 30.

Google releases Ivy, an experimental big number calculator for iPhone and iPad

Google on Friday released a brand new iOS application in the App Store. Called Ivy and available free of charge, the app is being described as an experimental big number calculator for the iPhone and iPad.

Dedicated calculator apps are a dime a dozen these days so what's so special about Ivy, you might ask?

According to Google, Ivy takes advantage of what's referred to as exact rational arithmetic, basically a precision math technique which lets the app handle arbitrary precision with ease.

Magic Duels, a new Magic the Gathering game, hits App Store

Wizards of the Coast, a U.S.-based publisher of games primarily based on fantasy and science fiction themes, today released a brand new iOS game set in the Magic the Gathering universe.

Magic Duels, a free-to-play download for the iPhone and iPad, is now available worldwide following a recent soft-launch on the New Zealand App Store.

This strategy card game challenge you to arm yourself with a deck of dazzling spells and fearsome creatures in order to win battles and unlock more powerful cards to add to your ever-growing collection.

Star Wars: Uprising gameplay shown in new trailer

As Cody told you a month ago, there's a new Star Wars mobile game in the works. It's called Star Wars: Uprising and set between the events of Star Wars: Episode VI: Return of the Jedi and the forthcoming Star Wars: The Force Awakens film.

Wednesday, publisher Kablam shared a new video giving us a good overview of Uprising's mechanics and overall gameplay.

Basically an action role-playing game, Uprising  should release in a few weeks as a free-to-play download.

Microsoft’s new opinion-gathering app removes the friction around event planning

Microsoft has released a brand new iPhone and iPad application in the App Store. Called Tossup, it was designed to make event planning and opinion-gathering a cinch by basically collecting answers from your friends to any questions you pose to them.

You can present people with a quick Yes/No poll, ask them to find and pick a restaurant, to agree on when to meet, invite them to extend the opinion about any topic and more.

Amazon launches dedicated iOS app for its Cloud Drive service

Online retail giant Amazon on Monday launched a brand new application in the App Store to give iPhone and iPad owners a quick way to access their documents, spreadsheets, music, photos and videos stored in Cloud Drive, Amazon's storage locker in the cloud.

The new app, called Amazon Cloud Drive, is available at no charge in the App Store. For the uninitiated, Amazon's Cloud Drive service offers you a choice between unlimited storage for your photos in exchange for twelve bucks per year, or $60 per year for an Unlimited Everything plan.

First look at upcoming Minecraft: Story Mode

A brand new international reveal trailer posted during the July 4 weekend offers a tantalizing glimpse into Minecraft: Story Mode, an upcoming narrative-driven adventure game created by Minecraft developer Mojang in collaboration with Telltale Games, the makers of the Game of Thrones cinematic video game series.

Following its announcement back in December 2014, the official teaser trailer for Story Mode has now premiered at the Minecon show in London. The video depicts a game set in the world of Minecraft with its own original story that will be driven by player decision. The game will consist of five episodes, with the inaugural episode set for release in 2015.

Vimeo reworks iPhone video editing app Cameo so it’s easier to create cinematic videos

The movie-editing app category has been receiving some renewed love from iOS developers, big and small alike. In addition to Apple's own iMovie for iOS—free with new iOS device purchases, otherwise a $4.99 download—Camera+ makers have recently launched a video editing app called Vee for Video.

And now Vimeo, the popular video sharing service, has re-released a mobile app called Cameo that the company purchased in May 2014. After rebuilding the app from scratch, it's now even simpler and more enjoyable to edit cinematic videos on your iPhone, add themes and soundtracks and share with your friends.
