Ayecon updated with new dial pad, more icons and bug fixes

Since the evasi0n jailbreak was released last week, we've seen a wave of tweak and package updates as developers rush to fix remaining iOS 6 bugs and add new features. Today, our favorite theme joins in; ayecon 1.3 is now available in Cydia.

The update is fairly significant, as it includes a number of additions and improvements. There's a new dial pad (for iOS 6+ only) and new icons for apps like Google Maps and Netbot. We've got the full change log for ayecon 1.3 after the fold...

Pull To Refresh Safari updated for iOS 6

If you are an avid user of Twitter or Facebook, you likely see 'pull to refresh' as an essential part of the smart phone experience. So it's surprising to see how slow Apple has been to bring the gesture to its internal apps. In iOS 6, Apple finally cued in and included their own implementation of Pull To Refresh in Mail. Unfortunately this hasn't carried over to every one of Apple's internet-enabled apps; Safari still lacks the feature.

Of course, jailbreakers have had access to Pull To Refresh Safari since iOS 4. Instead of pressing a tiny icon, we could just pull the screen down and refresh the active app. Now the tweak has been updated to work with iOS 6...

‘Unfold To Unlock’ tweak tracks usage, asks for donations every 500 unlocks

We're not against developers making money from their tweaks, or pursuing alternative routes of funding, but having a piece of nag-ware on your phone without any option to disable it is a major annoyance.

Unfold is a jailbreak tweak that we are huge fans of at iDownloadBlog, but unfortunately we learned that the tweak was programmed with an annoying behavior. After 500 uses, a message pops up asking for a donation, and the message repeats again after every 500th unlock. This wouldn't be so bad if a donation disabled the message, but there's no option for entering a subscription into the app...

How to jailbreak iOS 6.1.1 with evasi0n

To the surprise of many of us, Apple released iOS 6.1.1 today for the iPhone 4S. Fortunately, @planetbeing has reiterated the fact that the evasi0n untethered jailbreak works with iOS 6.1.1 perfectly fine.

Living up to that promise, the evad3rs just a few moments ago, released their update to evasi0n with iOS 6.1.1 support in tow. We have tested out the jailbreak for ourselves, and can confirm that the process is exactly like the previous jailbreak process, except it now works for iOS 6.1.1.

If you feel like doing so, it is now okay to go ahead an update to iOS 6.1.1, and re-jailbreak your iPhone 4S with the latest version of evasi0n. One thing that must be kept in mind, however, is that the iOS 6.1.1 update will most likely update your iPhone 4S' baseband. So, if you're relying on some sort of unlock like UltraSn0w, it's advisable that you hold off for the time being. Those of you who are factory unlocked won't have a problem.

Evasi0n 1.3 jailbreak for iPhone 4S on iOS 6.1.1 now available

The evad3rs just released evasi0n 1.3, an update specifically targeted to iPhone 4S users who are running iOS 6.1.1.

Earlier today, Apple released iOS 6.1.1 for iPhone 4S users, an update that was pushed to fix spotty 3G issues on the device. As always when a new firmware version drops, the main question on our mind was: will this break the jailbreak? We were quick to find out that even though evasi0n was not working with 6.1.1, it didn't fix the exploits used by evasi0n to jailbreak your device. Ultimately, evad3rs member PlanetBeing let us know that it was only a matter of time until evasion would get an update for iOS 6.1.1, and this time has come...

Pages+ now available on Cydia

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BHdWGtzPIng

Prior to all the kerfuffle surrounding the iOS 6 jailbreak release, we previewed a jailbreak tweak called Pages+. This tweak allows you to enable custom wallpaper backgrounds for each page on your Home screen, and it even works with Aaron Ash's popular Barrel tweak.

Needless to say, we were pretty excited to preview Pages+, and we're happy to report that it's now available for download on Cydia. If you want to take it for a spin both figuratively, and literally, then head over to Cydia and download it today. Pages+ can be had for $1.99 via the ModMyi repo. Be sure to let us know what you think about it in the comments section.

Evasi0n jailbreak still works on iOS 6.1.1, but…

Earlier today, Apple rolled out iOS 6.1.1 to iPhone 4S owners in an effort to fix the widely reported 3G performance problems. Evidently, some kind of bug in the week-old iOS 6.1 firmware was causing service, and consequently battery, issues.

Obviously, the first question on everyones' minds is "will the new update break the evasi0n jailbreak?" And we're happy to report, that per planetbeing, it doesn't. It looks like iPhone users on iOS 6.1.1 will be able to continue jailbreaking...

Ryan Petrich adds Do Not Disturb Toggle to Activator and SBSettings

Ryan Petrich, developer of numerous tweaks including FullForce for iPhone 5, has just released a new plugin for Activator and SBSettings called the Do Not Disturb Toggle.

Activating the toggle at any time enables Do Not Disturb mode in iOS 6, which silences incoming calls and notifications while your phone is locked; that is unless you've enabled repeated calls or calls from your Favorites list...

Quickly snap photos from Notification Center with Kamera

Do you hate it when you're trying to take a picture, you load up the Camera app, and the wrong camera is active? In photography, every moment counts and the delay in fiddling with camera modes could cost you that perfect shot.

Kamera is a Notification Center shortcut for the native Camera overlay in iOS 5 and 6, allowing you to take pictures from anywhere. What makes Kamera special is it allows you to start the overlay with either the front or rear camera active, depending on the button pressed...

Zephyr updated with iPad gestures and iOS 6 bug fixes

Zephyr is arguably one of the most popular jailbreak tweaks available on Cydia today—and for good reason. It's easy to use, reliable, and it makes switching between applications on your iPhone a breeze.

Today, the tweak gets even better. Chpwn announced this morning that Zephyr 1.5 is now available with several bug fixes for iOS 6, and the ability to use the iPad's four-finger gestures on your iPhone...

Sn0wbreeze 2.9.9 is out with a handful of bug fixes

iH8sn0w has posted a minor update to his popular jailbreak utility sn0wbreeze this weekend, bringing the software to version 2.9.9. The update comes just a few days after 2.9.8 was released, and features a handful of bug fixes.

The Windows-only app includes the new untethered evasi0n jailbreak, which the evad3rs debuted last week, and is capable of hacking all pre-A5 devices on iOS 6.1 (including the Apple TV 2). Full 2.9.9 change log after the fold...
