PreferenceTag3 lets you organize the iOS Settings app your own way

If you're like me, then you don't use every single setting that your iPhone comes with, and it would make life easier in the organization department if you could move around your Settings app's preference cells and hide the ones you don't use.

If this functionality sounds useful to you, then PreferenceTag3, which is a jailbreak tweak you can grab from Cydia for $1.99, is going to be your new best friend because it'll let your organize your Settings app exactly how you like it.

In this review, we'll show you what PreferenceTag3 is all about and how it works.

SafariHistory lets you quickly and selectively delete Safari history on your iPhone

SafariHistory is a handy new jailbreak tweak that is now available for free in Cydia and it will give Safari users that don't use Private Browsing mode an easier way to delete their Safari history in bulk.

Although Safari on your iPhone and iPad includes a 'Clear' button to quickly delete all of your browsing history, the only way to delete individual history items is to swipe to the left on them to reveal the red "Delete" button, and this can take forever.

SafariHistory instead makes it easier to remove individual items in bulk without clearing your entire Safari browsing history, as you're about to see in this review.

Extensify soft launches, lets you install ‘tweaks’ without a jailbreak

Last August, we showed you a really cool project known as Extensify, which is a third-party extension store that allows you to install 'tweaks' for App Store apps on your device without a jailbreak.

Created by iOS developers Majd Alfhaily and Kevin Ko, who are both well-known in the jailbreak community, this extension store works on iOS 9 devices and is side-loaded through Safari.

As of Monday, you can now apply to be a part of the app's soft-launch program via the Extensify website.

Jailbreak tweaks of the week: SpringInvaders, Seeker, & more…

Happy Sunday everyone! – And on that note, it's time for another roundup of the tweaks that we've shown you and have been released in Cydia this week.

It has been a slow but interesting week in terms of new jailbreak tweak releases, but without a jailbreak for more recent iOS firmware versions, the Changes tab in Cydia is feeling a wee bit dry.

Nevertheless, we'll go over this week's tweak releases so you're up to date on everything that went on this week.

EasyClear: the only 3D Touch notification clearing tweak you’ll ever need

Those rocking a jailbreak that have been looking for the perfect all-in-one 3D Touch notification-clearing tweak for their iOS device(s) need not look any further than a new jailbreak tweak release called EasyClear, which is now available in Cydia's BigBoss repository for $1.49.

This tweak makes use of the 3D Touch display on the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus to let you dismiss notifications universally throughout iOS. Whether it be a badge on an app icon from the Home screen, or one or more notifications from Notification Center.

‘Seeker’ is a feature-filled extension of Apple’s native audio scrubbing

The music controls from the Lock screen and Control Center leave a lot to be desired, which is why iOS jailbreak tweak developer Ron Thakrar has launched an excellent extension for the music controls.

Dubbed Seeker, this extension for jailbroken devices brings an array of new features to the music controls in the aforementioned interfaces and can be had from Cydia's BigBoss repository for the price of $2.99.

Jailbreak tweaks of the week: Meteor, QuickClear, and more…

Another Sunday, another opportunity to show you what's new in Cydia for the week!

Ranging from free to paid, this week's jailbreak tweak releases in Cydia have been few and far in between; that is, until the Updates tab blew up over the weekend with tons of new releases. Still, there have been some noteworthy releases that we think some jailbreakers will get excited about; others will improve security, and some are even utilitarian.

In this roundup, we'll show you everything that's new in Cydia this week, and we'll also be pointing out our favorite releases.

This tweak lets you choose whether a message is sent as SMS or iMessage

If you've ever wanted to send a message as an SMS instead of an iMessage, or vice-versa, you're in luck, because SwitchService is a jailbreak tweak now available in Cydia's BigBoss repository free of cost that will let you do just that.

Whether you're having problems with one of the services and want to use a different one, or feel that one of the services would better fit your needs at a certain point in time, this tweak will have you covered.

This tweak cures your nostalgia for the iOS 7 App Switcher

Although there are plenty of similarities between the App Switcher in iOS 7 and iOS 8, Apple launched a redesigned App Switcher in iOS 9 focused on improved aesthetics.

The iOS 9 App Switcher isn't always very responsive to upward swipes and sometimes swipes side-to-side instead. Moreover, it can be slower and laggy on older iOS devices that aren't built for the added demands on the system's resources.

If you're missing the fluidity and responsiveness of the iOS 7 App Switcher, and you have a jailbroken device, you're going to love a new jailbreak tweak dubbed AppSwitcher7, which is available for free in Cydia as of today.
