Never miss a call or message notification again with this tweak

Sometimes you miss notifications on your iOS device. Perhaps you were incredibly busy when someone was in the middle of texting or calling you. In some cases, you were so preoccupied that you couldn't even feel the vibrations. In other situations, perhaps you were just away from your device, and never got the memo until hours later, when it was too late.

NoMoreMissed is a new jailbreak tweak available in Cydia's BigBoss repository that ensures you'll never miss a notification for text messages, phone calls, or instant messages ever again.

Developer shows off iOS 9.3 beta 1 jailbreak

It looks as if iOS 9.3 beta 1 has already been jailbroken, which lends hope that a public version of an iOS 9.3.x jailbreak may be possible. But don't hold your breath; this is the same hacker/developer—Luca Todesco—that recently shared a screenshot of a jailbroken iPhone 6 running iOS 9.2.1. He previously made it clear that he has no intention of sharing, and it doesn't look like that's changing anytime soon.

This tweak gives iOS notifications a makeover

iOS' notification system it set up so when you miss notifications, they'll stack up on the Lock screen and in Notification Center until you have a moment to look back at all of them.

The notifications are separated with padding and are plain Jane, but for those that want to switch things up a bit and make notifications look a bit more modern or appealing, a new jailbreak tweak called RedesignedNotifications will let you personalize the look of your Lock screen and Notification Center notifications to your own personal preference.

Access your favorite apps from your Lock screen with Akri

With a new jailbreak tweak called Akri, your favorite applications are never more than a button press and a swipe away. The tweak, which is now available in Cydia's BigBoss repository for $1.99, lets you have as many of your favorite applications accessible from the Lock screen as you want at all times.

Appster: a must-have utility for viewing app and tweak data

Appster is a free utility for jailbroken iPhones that allows you to learn about the apps and tweaks installed on your device. With Appster, you can quickly find out details such as bundle id, app version number, folder location, developer name, etc. Each app also features a direct link to the app's installed location via iFile.

But it doesn't just stop there, in this post I'll show you some of the other interesting features that makes Appster worthy of downloading. In fact, I consider this tool to be a must-have for all jailbroken users.

Jailbreak tweaks of the week: Akri, Eucnide, and more

This week, Cydia started off the new year by receiving more than just a few new jailbreak tweak releases to satisfy those looking for a way to change something their iOS device does. Like many weeks before this one, many of the releases are far from anything to get excited about, but there have certainly been some gems released this week that could be worth your time to try out on your spare time.

New Activator beta adds two Apple Watch-centric features

If you own an Apple Watch, you can now use it in conjunction with Activator on your jailbroken iPhone. Activator 1.9.8 beta 9, which was released yesterday, adds several new interesting features to the already massive list of things this tweak can do.

In addition to the Apple Watch support, the beta adds support for more system ringtones, features a reduced package size, and incorporates several fixes to make the tweak run more efficiently. Check out the full change log for more details.

How to toggle the iPhone’s flashlight using the mute switch [jailbreak]

Using the iPhone as a flashlight is something we're all pretty much accustomed to by now. In fact, Apple makes it easy to toggle the LED flashlight via a handy Control Center shortcut.

But wouldn't it be nice if you could quickly toggle the flashlight without needing to use your iPhone's screen? Wouldn't it be cool if you could assign the LED flashlight to the physical mute switch on the side of your device?

FlashRing is a brand new jailbreak tweak that lets you do just that. With this tweak installed, you can easily toggle the iPhone's LED flash using a physical toggle.

App Admin updated with even more iOS app downgrading features

App Admin (formerly App Control) is a jailbreak tweak that allows you to easily downgrade App Store apps on iOS. The tweak, which is still in beta, was met with positive response after it was released several days ago.

After a few updates, App Admin is really starting to come into its own. Not only has it been blessed with new downgrade-centric features, but it also works on devices running older versions of iOS.

Well-known hacker teases iOS 9.2.1 jailbreak

iOS 9.2.1 isn't even out of beta yet, but a well-known iOS hacker is already flaunting a purported jailbreak for the unreleased software. Luca Todesco, better known as @qwertyoruiop, teased an iPhone 6 screenshot of Cydia running on iOS 9.2.1 beta.

Whether the jailbreak is legit is still up for debate, but he's no slouch when it comes to security research involving iOS. In fact, Todesco was recently credited by Apple in one of its iOS security fix acknowledgements for iOS 9.2.

Will this jailbreak ever see the light of day as a public release?
