Yesterday, we reported that the iPhone 5 might not receive the bump in storage that some have been expecting. Rumors swirling around a screen-grab from a Vodafone inventory listing, suggests that the iPhone 5 will arrive in one of four flavors — a black 16GB or 32GB option, and a white 16GB or 32GB option — 64GB of storage capacity was nowhere to be seen.

Now, at first, that might seem weird considering that Apple's created 64GB iterations of the iPod touch and iPad lineup. GameStop to Begin Selling Apple iDevice Lineup, Now Accepting Trade-Ins

As of this week, GameStop has begun accepting iDevice trade-ins at its retail outlets for in-store credit. 9to5Mac is reporting that GameStop will soon offer Apple's entire lineup of iDevices for sale, and it's speculated that GameStop is accepting new and used trade-ins first to make room for new products this Fall, like the iPhone 5.

Resellers are gearing up for a mass influx in used iPhone trade-ins, with Apple's next smartphone slated to make its debut before the end of next month.

Apple’s New Remote iDevice Diagnostic Tool Detailed, Arriving Soon

We've been hearing little tidbits here and there that point to a new way for Apple to diagnose issues with iPhones, iPads and iPod touches. First, we reported on internal messages being sent to Apple dealers that mention a tool for remote retrieval of logs and error files from devices, and then a patent popped up that ran along very similar lines.

Now, more details have emerged, with 9to5Mac confirming that Apple is indeed planning to roll out a new diagnostic system, and that it will be coming online slowly over the coming months...

Apple Details Smart iDevice Diagnostic Tool in Patent

It's Apple patent time again here at iDownloadbBlog, and the latest to be discovered by Patently Apple points to a fancy new iTunes based diagnostic tool for iOS devices.

The new tool will create and monitor in-depth change logs, as well as check things like the device's location and other physical conditions. The idea is that the logs show what a device was doing and where it was doing it at definable points in time. The patent mentions the logs could be generated at every restart, every day, or every time a particular action is performed...

iTunes Match Beta Goes Live for Developers [Video Walkthrough]

Apple just sent out an email to developers signifying that iTunes Match is now available to developers.

As you know, iTunes Match is the matching service that allows you to stream the tunes that you already own without uploading all of your music. The service works by "matching" the music contained on your local computer with what's already available in the Cloud via iTunes.

For those more obscure songs that iTunes doesn't already have, you can still upload your music for streaming. As usual, we have a video of iTunes Match in action, so be sure to check inside to see how it works!
