Analyst Claims Apple Will Launch iPhone 4+ and iPhone 5 This Fall

Analysts predictions are a dime a dozen, especially these days, when we're getting soo close to the new iPhone launch. Still, as a news site, it is our duty to report on all of them so you can make your own opinion.

Reiterating some of the rumors we've been hearing for awhile now, JP Morgan analyst Mark Moskowitz claims that Apple is just about to launch two new devices this fall: the iPhone 4+ and the iPhone 5.

We're not learning anything new here. According to the analyst, the iPhone 5 will be a world phone sporting a dual GSM+CDMA chip, it will have a larger display and an 8MP camera...

Certified iPhone NFC Case and Service Launched by South Korean Carrier

With circulating rumors that Apple will eventually introduce an iPhone with NFC technology, South Korean carrier KT Telecom is taking matters into its own hands. KT has launched the iCarte 420K NFC case for the iPhone 4.

Developed by Canadian company Wireless Dynamics, the $63 iCarte gives the iPhone Near Field Communications capabilities with the carrier's online payment service/digital wallet and South Korean credit card companies.

MyGreatFest — A Roundup of Everything You Missed

MyGreatFest, the world's first jailbreak convention, was held earlier today in London. The event featured presentations from prominent figures in the jailbreak community, including saurik and members of the Chronic Dev Team.

The convention featured 6 main keynotes with an array of speakers. We've collected some of the highlights from MyGreatFest for those that weren't able to tune into the livestream...

Park4U Lets You Use Your iPhone to Park Your Car Remotely

Remember a few years ago when self-parking cars were all the rage? It seems that the novelty has worn off (and lawsuits have ensued), as we haven't seen many car-makers touting the feature as of late.

Enter Park4U. The assisted-parking system by Valeo uses several sensors and other components to help drivers squeeze their vehicles into even the tightest parking spots, without ever needing to touch the wheel...

Verizon Starts Throttling Heavy Data Users

Following their announcement made in February that the company would be throttling data for the top 5% of its users, Verizon has officially started what they call "Network Optimization Practices," just in time for the iPhone 5 launch sometime next month.

These "Network Optimization Practices" consist of reducing the data speed of the top 5% of Verizon users, a.k.a those who are on an unlimited data plan and use more than 2GB of data per month...

About Those iPhone 5 Cases

It seems as though Case-Mate started a firestorm with its little publicity stunt yesterday. I call it that because whether its depiction of the iPhone 5 was accurate or not, I'm sure the company enjoyed the extra traffic.

The iPhone mockups in Case-Mate's photos looked an awful lot like the iPad 2, and some folks didn't like that. In fact, our very own Jeff wrote a piece about the images. But love 'em or hate 'em, the design can't be too far off. And here's why...

The Chronic Dev Team Talks iPhone 5 Jailbreak and New Exploits at MyGreatFest

P0sixninja and iOPK took that stage at MyGreatFest earlier today to talk about the Chronic Dev Team and jailbreaking. Chronic Dev frontman Joshua Hill (p0sixninja) had some important announcements to make, including the news that the team has found a record breaking 5 new exploits for an iPhone 5 and iPad 2 jailbreak.

The Chronic Dev Team is ready to jailbreak the iPhone 5 with the new exploits that have been discovered, and the exploits already work on the iPad 2...

Why the Case-Mate iPhone 5 Mockups Are Probably Fake

If you ask me, the iPhone 4's design is the epitome of phone designs. It's why we're going on a year and a half since it was released, and there still isn't a device that truly rivals its beauty or function.

I wasn't really worried about Apple straying too far from this design, because in general, they tend to stick with what works for a decent length of time, e.g. the iMac, Mac Pro, etc. All of those products have basically remained the same over the past few years, sans a few minor tweaks here and there.

But then, Case-MateGate happened; purported iPhone 5 mockups along with them, and stuff just got real...

Looking to Sell Your iPhone 4? You’d Better Act Fast

It's that time of year again. Although it's a few months later than previous years, all of the pre-iPhone launch festivities have begun. We've seen blurry spy shots, several glimpses of leaked parts and cases, and heard countless rumors.

Now, all that is left is for Apple to announce the media event. But as we get closer to the iPhone 5 unveiling, folks are pondering what do with their soon-to-be-old iPhones. Well, if you plan on selling your iPhone 4 online, you may want to do that in the near future...

Two New iPhone Models in the Works, iPhone 5 to See Production Delay?

Last night we told you about a report from The New York Times quoting multiple Apple employees that a "fairly different" iPhone 5 was only "just weeks away." The report didn't specifically mention the rumor of Apple announcing two new iPhone models at once, and now 9to5Mac is claiming that there are some interesting developments in the iPhone 5 department.

According to 9to5Mac, Apple is indeed working on two iPhone models, but the iPhone 5 design has seen production delays. While a re-tooled iPhone 4 will be available this Fall, a completely redesigning iPhone 5 won't be seen until early 2012...
