Apple Working On Major Interactive Fitness Center App

In the recently-released Steve Jobs biography, Walter Isaacson notes that the late CEO wanted Apple to re-invent three markets: TV, photography, and text books. Now it looks like the company has added another industry to the list: health.

PatentlyApple is reporting that Apple has just won a patent for a major fitness center app. Judging by the filing, the software is being built for the iPhone, and will allow users to virtually interact with their local gyms and fitness centers...

Ever since I saw Twelve South's BookBook, I've wanted an iPhone wallet case. As a carrier of both an iPhone and a wallet, the convenience of combining the two was rather appealing.

But other than Twelve South's case, there didn't seem to be a lot of viable options available. And I didn't necessarily like how the BookBook case, well, looked like a book. Luckily, I recently discovered the HEX Code Wallet Case.

iPhone 4S to be Availabe in China Early Next Year

According to Chinese publication People Daily, the iPhone 4S has gained the necessary approvals from local authorities to sell the iPhone 4S in China:

After obtaining the network entry permit from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China (MIIT), the iPhone 4S received China Compulsory Certification (3C) for electronic products on Dec. 22, meaning that it has met all the requirements for coming into markets of China.

According to latest information from iPhone distributors, the iPhone 4S is expected to hit the market at the beginning of January 2012.

If that holds true, the iPhone 4S will be available in the country before Chinese new year.

Rumor: Aluminum iPhone 5 Coming in Fall of 2012

BGR is reporting from a "close source" that Apple has plans to introduce a completely redesigned iPhone 5 in the fall of 2012. The next-generation smartphone will supposedly feature an aluminum casing, much like the iPad 2.

While BGR has gotten iPhone rumors incredibly wrong in the past, the prospect of a redesigned iPhone 5 for 2012 makes sense...

Over the past few weeks, the entire jailbreak community has watched pod2g work diligently on the iOS 5 untethered jailbreak. All eyes have been on the infamous hacker as he has tested his exploit on device after device running iOS 5.0.1.
