Apple to announce two new iOS apps today

According to Fox News’ Clayton Morris, Apple will unveil two new iOS apps today. We told you about one app already called Organize a virtual pocket of sorts.

According to sources, the Organize app is designed to hold your credit card information, coupons, travel information and other personal information. If the description is anything to go by, the Organize app should hopefully help create a rumored iWallet solution...

Facebook officially launches App Center

Earlier today, we reported that screenshots of Facebook's App Center were starting to surface. This lead to speculation from folks that a release for the cross-platform, HTML5-encoded app store was on the horizon.

Well, as it turns out, they were right. During a press event this evening, the social networking giant announced that it would start rolling out App Center in the US today. And the rest of the world in the coming weeks...

UEFA releases official Euro 2012 iPhone app

As noted by MacRumors, UEFA (Union of European Football Associations) has just released its official app for Euro 2012. The 14th annual European Football Championship starts Friday, June 8th, and will continue on for the rest of the month.

Surprisingly, football (known as soccer here in the States) is slowly starting to catch on here in the States. It's by no means near as popular as it is in the rest of the world, but major TV networks are starting to bid for broadcasting rights...

Whoa, looks like another iOS app developer (not exclusive, though) just ended up engulfed in the Google ecosystem as the search giant announced its acquisition of the popular mobile app productivity maker Quickoffice for an undisclosed sum.

The news arrives just as we learned yesterday of Google's intentions to snap up popular instant messaging maker Meebo for a rumored hundred million dollars...

Microsoft launches SmartGlass wireless media streaming for iOS and Android

Electronic Entertainment Expo, the industry's biggest interactive entertainment show, is underway in Los Angeles, California and Microsoft juts announced an interesting software solution for wireless media streaming to the Xbox 360 console from devices powered by Apple's iOS and Google's Android mobile operating system.

Called SmartGlass, the app lets you beam video from your iPhone, iPod touch, iPad or Android device to Xbox Live and Windows 8. Another cool feature: with SmartGlass installed, your mobile device becomes a complementary display in games and apps that support this functionality...

Office for iPad reportedly landing November 10

News Corp.-owned The Daily reported this morning that Microsoft's development team has apparently locked the code for Office on the iOS platform last month, followed by the design team's approval of the user interface. The long expected office suite is now being tested, with Microsoft internally shooting for an October 10 release date, giving Redmond a five-month lead time to smooth out the rough edges...

Angry Birds Space gets 10 tasty Utopia levels

Rovio today pushed a free content update to its Angry Birds Space game, which launched back in March. A bunch of new levels are available, inviting you to "squawk your way through a cosmos of donuts, cakes and very hungry piggies".
