Well if you happen to fall in the latter category, you have to check out this trailer for an upcoming game called Venture Kid. Its 8-bit graphics and synthesized soundtrack make this title seem like it would have felt right at home on the original Nintendo...

Walmart rollback: 16GB iPad 2 is now $299

Walmart's been frequently offering up various discounts concerning iPad 2 models. For example, its most recent iPad 2 sales promotion shaved $100 off in the form of a $100 electronic gift card.

Starting today, the entry-level Wi-Fi-only iPad 2 model with sixteen gigabytes of storage can be purchased over at the online and retail Walmart stores for as low as $299, a cool $100 saving over its retail price of $399.

The price change is the result of Walmart's rollback promotion, which occurs when a supplier gives Walmart a discount in the purchase price of a product. A rollback can be also the result of high demand.

This particular discount affects only the entry-level iPad 2 model. The Wi-Fi + Cellular iPad 2 still sells for $479, or $50 less versus Apple's asking price...

Good deal: name your own price on this ‘learn to code’ bundle

I don't know about you, but when I hear stories about app developers becoming near-overnight millionaires, it makes me want to get into the business. Unfortunately, I know very little about programming, and even less about programming for iOS.

That can be changed, though, by taking some educational courses on the subject. And wouldn't you know it, our friends over at deal site Stack Social are running one of their infamous 'name your own price' promos on a set of 8 online coding courses...

Latest Samsung ads take swipes at iPhone’s screen size and iPad’s multitasking

Samsung is taking a page from Microsoft's book with the release of a new ad featuring side-by-side comparison of its 10.1-inch Galaxy Tab Pro and Apple's iPad. Not only that, Samsung has actually borrowed the concept of Apple's inaugural iPad Air commercial dubbed 'Pencil' and applied it to its ad.

The ad titled 'Multitasking Redefined' highlights Samsung device's multitasking capabilities allowing it to render two apps side-by-side, because "doing two things at once is greater than doing one thing at once".

The 60-second video proudly proclaims the Galaxy Tab 10.1 to be an even thinner tablet than the iPad Air despite a negligible difference in their thickness. There's also another ad which uses a video of a LeBron James slam dunk to mock the iPhone's screen size.
