November 1 iPad Air launch will include in-store Personal Pickup

When Apple's new iPad Air launches in the United States and a few dozen international markets this coming Friday, customers will be able to order their device online for in-store delivery, ready to be collected in person at a nearby store rather than wait for it to be shipped to your doorstep.

That's the word in the blogosphere and subsequently confirmed by iDB with our own plugged-in sources and made public by Apple's online Store.

The not-so-unexpected development indicates Apple's confidence in its ability to meet iPad Air demand on day one, despite launching the device across a whole bunch of markets simultaneously...

Accessory maker Logitech today announced a brand new lineup of Folio cases, Bluetooth keyboard cases and protective covers specifically designed for Apple's newly-launched iPad Air, which goes on sale this coming Friday. US Cellular to begin carrying iPad Air on November 8

Following news yesterday that the iPad Air will be heading to regional US providers like Bluegrass Cellular and C Spire Wireless, US Cellular announced that it too would be landing the new tablet.

The carrier, which is the fifth-largest in the United States, says it plans to launch the Air alongside the iPhone 5s and 5c in November. So subscribers may want to start getting their wallets out now...

As Apple is prepping to unleash its newly-announced iPad Air in a massive 42 markets come next Friday, some regional United States wireless carriers are now modestly confirming their vague plans for Apple's new device. GCI, Bluegrass Cellular and C Spire Wireless - which already carry the iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c in their stable - confirmed Friday that the 9.7-inch iPad Air is coming to their respective networks when it debuts "in the coming weeks".

Bluegrass Cellular and C Spire Wireless combined cover much of the southern United States, including Mississippi, Tennessee, Florida, Alabama, Georgia and Kentucky areas...

Walmart offered notable discounts on Apple gear in the past, most recently on the iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c, and they're about to do it again with the forthcoming iPad Air.

It was only two days ago that Apple unveiled the device, alongside the iPad mini with Retina display and other hardware and software notables.

Still, already Walmart is first to advertise that it will start selling the entry-level $499 iPad Air with a $20 discount beginning November 1...

Today, the Deutsche Telekom-owned carrier, the nation's fourth-largest, has shed more light on its iPad strategy.

Your key takeaway: there will be no downpayment for those in the market for a cellular iPad Air or Retina iPad mini variant. Apple introduced two new tablets this morning at a media event in San Francisco: the iPad Air and the iPad mini with Retina display. Both tablets got performance boosts thanks to the A7 64-bit processor, among other changes.
