Confero 2 is a notification badge manager for your apps

If you have an iPhone, then you’re no stranger to notifications. In fact, if you have a lot of friends and use a lot of different kinds of apps, then you probably get flooded with notifications from day to day. These notifications clutter up your Home screen with badges, which aren't exactly the prettiest things in the world to see.

A jailbreak tweak dubbed Confero 2 by AtomDevTeam lets you clean things up by grouping all your apps with missed notification badges into a convenient little box that can be invoked from anywhere. It also provides new notification badge theming options that are much nicer to look at.

This tweak disables unwanted features in the Settings app

There are a number of extraneous things in your iPhone’s Settings app that you might never use, but the problem is amplified even more for jailbreakers because some of the features can’t be used without losing the jailbreak entirely.

A new free jailbreak tweak called SettingsPatch removes unwanted clutter and disables dangerous preference panes on jailbroken devices.

Brightify gives the Spotify Music app a white makeover

It wasn’t long ago that we showed you a jailbreak tweak called Lightify, which applied a light skin to the Spotify Music app's typically dark UI.

On the other hand, a new free jailbreak tweak called Brightify by iOS developer cyanisaac aims to accomplish similar goals, all while coming with its own unique benefits that competing tweaks don't offer.

Get the Hermès and Nike+ watch faces on your Apple Watch with this tweak

Apple limits some of their watch face designs to certain Apple Watch models. For example, the Hermès and Nike editions of Apple Watches offer their own unique faces that can’t be accessed on any other Apple Watch. Or at least, not without an iPhone jailbreak…

iOS developer Ayden Panhuyzen has been trying to port these faces to other models of the Apple Watch for quite some time, and he appears to be demonstrating success in his endeavors. As a result, the jailbreak tweak dubbed SpecialFaces is now in beta. If you're wondering how to get the Hermès and Nike+ faces on your Apple Watch, this is how.

Jailbreak tweaks of the week: EnhancedSwitcherClose, UsageBarX, & more…

It's Sunday again, and that means we're coming at you with another one of our jailbreak tweak roundups!

It was a busy week following the public release of iOS 10.3, but jailbreak developers have continued working on their own projects for Cydia regardless.

In this roundup, we'll talk about our favorite new jailbreak tweak releases first, and then we'll discuss the rest of them afterwards.

UsageBarX modifies the clunky activity bar on your iPhone or iPad

Whenever you use Personal Hotspot, multitask while in the middle of a phone call, or use Shazam to tag music in the background, your Status Bar multiplies in size and changes color, which depends on the situation.

While the intent was to keep you aware that something is happening in the background, it becomes intrusive when the user interface gets squashed down to make room for the double-decker-sized Status Bar. That’s where a new free jailbreak tweak called UsageBarX by iOS developer Justin Petkovic comes into play, as it offers more than one potential solution.

Don’t want internet providers to sell your browsing data? Use a VPN

While the FCC fought hard to keep your internet browsing data safe from third parties, it appears the United States government has other interests in mind. That said, your internet service provider (ISP) may soon begin selling your personal internet browsing data to third parties, putting your privacy at risk of exploitation.

On the other hand, there's still a way you can protect yourself and your data. Using a Virtual Private Network (VPN) will keep your internet browsing data hidden from your ISP, which in turn keeps it from being sold to third parties.

SAP Cloud Platform SDK for iOS now available to developers

Apple said yesterday that a software-development kit (SDK) for SAP Cloud Platform development is now available to iOS developers. Announced in May 2016, the Apple-SAP partnership aims to help reinvent business processes and workflows. The SDK lets developers build native iOS apps in Swift, Apple’s modern programming language, and integrate them with SAP's Cloud Platform.

For the uninitiated, SAP is a German business software maker that writes enterprise software for managing business operations and customer relations.

Do more from your App Switcher with EnhancedSwitcherClose

The stock App Switcher looks alright, but it's not as useful as it could be. Apple limits what you can do inside the App Switcher to force-quitting apps, but as jailbreak developers have shown for years, there’s so much untapped potential.

A new free jailbreak tweak called EnhancedSwitcherClose by iOS developer DGh0st provides you with a new way to interact with your App Switcher cards and gives you more options depending on the way you swipe them.
