iPhone 4S Camera Will Rival the Top Point-and-Shoot Models

The iPhone 4 turned out to be one of the world's most popular cameras. It was one of the first smartphones that literally started taking the place of every day point-and-shoot picture-takers.

With the iPhone 4S, Apple is looking to build on that success with its all-new 8MP camera. The sensor is capable of capturing 3264 x 2448 photos — 60% more pixels than the iPhone 4. And there's much, much more...

This is the iPhone 4S

Ladies and gentlemen, after months of rumors and speculations, the iDB team is excited to introduce you to the iPhone 4S.

Do you notice anything new about it? Probably not, because it's the same design, but on the inside, it's a whole different beast...

Sprint Image on Apple’s Website 100% Confirms Sprint is a New iPhone Carrier

Welcome, Sprint. It's been a long and arduous journey, but you made it to the promise land; you finally scored the iPhone.

This: image from Apple's online store, confirms that Sprint will be the official third US carrier of the next iPhone.

These are the images that are displayed when asked to select a carrier on Apple's website. See the Verzion and AT&T images for comparison.

Just yesterday, the image wasn't there, but we checked today, and sure enough, there it is. What could this mean for Sprint as a carrier?

Apple Store Goes Down Ahead of Apple’s iPhone Event

So, what will it be? Signs are certainly pointing to an iPhone 4S as being the only new iPhone we'll see this afternoon.

Either way, it's highly probably that we will see some new product hit Apple's online store after the media event concludes.

That's because Apple's online store is currently down, which normally means the ability to order a new product, or at least pre-order a new product, is in the cards...

iPhone 4S to Launch Today, No iPhone 5 This Year

Only hours before Apple's actual announcement, the folks over at The Next Web just dropped the bomb on what Apple has planned for the iPhone today.

According to the site's trusted sources inside Apple, the iPhone 4S will be launched today with a 8 megapixel camera, A5 processor, 1 GB of RAM, "improved optics,” and a “more accurate differential GPS stage." The iPhone 5 'teardrop' design that Apple was rumored to unveil won't be released this year.

Is Apple Set to Announce App Trials?

We're so close to tomorrow's iPhone event that we can taste it, and the rumors just keep on flying. The latest comes thanks to Apple's latest iTunes 10.5 beta, with 'The Tech Era' discovering a rogue bit of code that, they believe, could point to Apple's impending announcement of iOS app rentals.

The blog post points out that after the rental period has elapsed, the app in question would automatically be deleted from a user's iPhone, iPad or iPod touch. While that sounds theoretically possible, I'm not convinced that's the plan at all. What if Apple was planning on finally rectifying one of the issues that has plagued the App Store since day one? What if Apple was planning on announcing app trials?

It actually makes a lot of sense, and here's why...

The iPhone 4S “Life-Changing” Feature

There has been a lot of controversy over Apple's iPhone event tomorrow. Recent evidence has suggested that the company won't be unveiling a device with an all-new design, but one similar to the iPhone 4 with improved internals.

Skeptics believe that an iPhone 4S wouldn't be enough to power Apple's smartphone sales in the face of growing competition. Why would anyone choose a non-4G device with a 3.5" screen over offerings like the Galaxy S II? Assistant of course...

Rumor: Verizon Stacking Call Center Staff in Anticipation of iPhone Launch Tomorrow

In case you've been living under a rock for the past week, Apple is hosting a media event tomorrow at its Cupertino campus. The blogosphere has been buzzing over rumored announcements, but everyone is more interested in the new iPhone itself.

With the keynote now within 24 hours, it's time for everyone to place their last-minute bets. What will it look like? How will it measure up to previous devices? And when will it be available? Macgasm seems to think it will hit the shelves tomorrow...

Benchmarks Suggest A5-Powered iPhone Would Support Much Faster Graphics

While we're all getting so uptight about whether the incoming iPhone will be of the 4S or 5 designation, and thus, whether it will receive a new design or not, MacRumors is there to bring us all back to reality.

The site's founder, Arnold Kim, has sought to remind us all that, while all the glitz and glamor of possible redesign is tempting, we're forgetting about the specs that will actually power the device.  lt's obvious that the next iPhone will feature Apple's impressive A5 chip architecture — the chip that currently powers the iPad 2.

That fact alone means we'll have a significantly faster iPhone to buy. Check out the impressive benchmark breakdown inside...

iPhone 4S Shows Up in Vodafone Germany Listings with 16GB, 32GB, 64GB Capacities

It's already been rumored that the iPhone 4S will come in a 64GB flavor, and now mobile carrier Vodafone Germany is listing the iPhone '4S' in three different capacities on its website.

Carriers have been known to create placeholders for unreleased Apple products, with some carriers even offering preorders for the fifth generation iPhone before it is announced. In the case of this Vodafone listing, the iPhone 4S is listed for the first time instead of the 'iPhone 5' placeholder that we've seen before. The storage options line up with rumors as well...

Pictures of a Cheaper iPhone Based on the iPhone 4 Surface, Two iPhones Coming Tuesday After All

Gizmodo has done it again. The same site that got its hands on the iPhone 4 before it was released has also procured images of what is assumedly a new iPhone to be announced on Tuesday.

The device, codenamed 'N90A', is not the iPhone 4S (codenamed 'N94). That device is still coming, but this photo is of the cheaper 8GB iPhone 4 that will be launched next week, too.
