With Apple dropping software updates for its iPhones and iPads as frequently as they do nowadays, it’s particularly exciting when a hacker claims that they’ve pwned one of the company’s latest versions of iOS and/or iPadOS.
The most recent announcement to shake things up came by way of hacker @08Tc3wBB last month in the form of a new exploit for iOS 13.6.1 that allegedly used a different method to achieve its ends than the more traditional tfp0 method that we see in modern jailbreaks like Odyssey and unc0ver. On Monday, the same hacker appeared to validate that the newer iOS 13.7 would be vulnerable to jailbreak-centric exploitation:
We probably won't see the iPhone 12 lineup tomorrow. But when October rolls around we'll finally see what Apple is bringing to its newest smartphones.
Last week, Apple announced its "Time Flies" event for Tuesday, September 15. While initial expectations focused on new iPhones, it's now believed the event will be all about the Apple Watch and iPad.
Those who depend on the iOS 13-centric Odyssey jailbreak tool for all their iPhone and/or iPad liberation needs will be excited to learn that there’s a new update available. The latest version of Odyssey at the time of this writing is now 1.1.0.
The Odyssey Team announced the new update for the Odyssey jailbreak late last night via Twitter, and from what we can gather, it brings both bug fixes and improvements to the app’s built-in theming capabilities:
Anyone with a jailbroken device can tell you that SpringBoard crashes are often par for the course. This is particularly the case after loading your handset up with a plethora of jailbreak tweaks, namely those that aren’t well-made or that tend to conflict with each other for one reason or another.
In some cases, jailbreak tweak developers may request crash logs from users to troubleshoot and determine why a tweak caused SpringBoard to crash. It’s because of this that having easy access to crash logs can be useful, and that’s why we’re excited to show you Crash, a new crash log viewer made especially for iOS 13 by iOS developer Antique.
It’s no secret that the music listening experience on the iOS platform has remained somewhat stagnant over the past few years, but if you’re avidly searching for something to make things a bit more exciting and you have a jailbroken handset at your disposal, then a newly released and free jailbreak tweak called Lobelias by iOS developer Litten offers a great place to start.
As depicted in the screenshot examples above, Lobelias gives iOS’ Now Playing interface a much-needed facelift and integrates a plethora of user-configurable aesthetics so that you can achieve the look and feel you want. Right off the bat, notable changes include the rounded album artwork, redesigned media controls, changes to the background, and new text label positions, among other things.
Jailbreakers have a bevy of different opinions when it comes to the best jailbreak tweaks for their particular device, but if there’s one thing most can agree on, it’s the fact that the freedom of jailbreaking offers a new level of thrill and excitement to any device it gets paired with.
In this roundup, we’ll be showcasing all the latest jailbreak tweaks released from Monday, August 7th to Sunday, August 13th. As usual, we’ll kick things off by talking about our favorites first and then wrap things up with an outline of the rest afterward.
Apple made the right decision when switching from traditional LCD display panels to higher-end OLED display panels in its flagship smartphones, but one can’t help but question why iOS doesn’t take better advantage of the deeper black color tones made possible with OLED display technology.
If you have a jailbroken OLED display-equipped iPhone at your disposal and you’ve been asking yourself the aforementioned question since the day you first picked up the device, then we think you’re likely to enjoy a free jailbreak tweak dubbed Lisa by iOS developers Litten and Esquilli.

The Status Bar is a persistent element that presents itself in the vast majority of iOS apps and user interfaces. The lone exception to this rule of thumb would of course be full-screen apps such as mobile games, video playback, and a small number of other exceptions.
Despite being hidden from the aforementioned interfaces, iPhone users can open Notification Center to view the Status Bar by swiping down from the top of the display to reveal a grabber and then tugging down on the grabber. Unfortunately, this is a multi-step process and rather cumbersome, and that’s the chief reason why a new jailbreak tweak called Grabbi by iOS developer Arielgavrielov exists.
