Those who depend on the iOS 13-centric Odyssey jailbreak tool for all their iPhone and/or iPad liberation needs will be excited to learn that there’s a new update available. The latest version of Odyssey at the time of this writing is now 1.1.0.
The Odyssey Team announced the new update for the Odyssey jailbreak late last night via Twitter, and from what we can gather, it brings both bug fixes and improvements to the app’s built-in theming capabilities:
Citing the change log for Odyssey v1.1.0, this update brings the following changes:
– Fixes the black screen issue with certain tweaks upon jailbreaking, including (but not limited to) AppStore++
– Adds support for custom themes and colors in the Odyssey app!
In an internal memo in the Odyssey Discord channel, Odyssey Team lead developer CoolStar recommended that users reboot into an unjailbroken state before installing the updated Odyssey .IPA file.
The latest version of the Odyssey jailbreak is, of course, available at theodyssey.dev, and is recommended for all users who prefer this jailbreak over others. It can be installed on compatible devices with AltStore, a process that can be completed manually or with the help of the new Wander Shortcuts extension.
If you’ve never jailbroken an iPhone or iPad with Odyssey before, and you’d like to, then you can follow our step-by-step tutorial showcasing the entire process. Please note that the Odyssey jailbreak supports iOS & iPadOS version 13.0-13.5 and will install the Sileo package manager.
