Amazon is preparing its own consumer tablet for an October release, according to The Wall Street Journal. Reportedly, the online mega-merchant is going to introduce a 9-inch, Android-based tablet to go head to head with Apple's iPad.
With different Android tablets hitting the shelves left and right, it's interesting to see a company like Amazon enter the mix. Will Amazon's tablet be the iPad killer?
When Apple first announced the iPad way back before we knew the joys that a 9.7" slab of glass could bring, we all immediately thought that the tablet would be a great coffee table device - perfect for leaving out and offering as a family machine.

BookmarksBarEnhancer adds a nifty context menu to the items in your bookmarks bar. This menu can be easily invoked by tapping and holding on your bookmark of choice.

The Warner Cable app for iPad just got an update, and if you're a jailbreaker, you might want to stay away from it. The app that lets you watch cable TV on your iPad - assuming you are in your home - is now showing an error message to anyone using the app with a jailbroken iPad.

A minute later he also said "...It makes me feel bad to ignore peoples' emails, but last night I was sort of flooded with them." About 5 hours later, Comex also tweeted that the reason it didn't work is because he broke "Invalid Checksum"...
