QuickSearch lets jailbreakers search the web from anywhere on their iPhone

Not a moment goes by that my inquisitive mind doesn't fancy researching something in depth, and for that reason, I think that the internet can be an incredibly valuable resource. Other people in the same boat would probably agree, however picking up their phone to do some research can be a cumbersome, multi-step endeavor.

QuickSearch is a newly released and free jailbreak tweak created by iOS developer iCraze for the sole purpose of making it easier to search the web from literally anywhere on your pwned iPhone or iPad. It achieves the aforementioned goal by allowing the end user to summon a search bar with the help of an Activator action.

SettingsButtons adds useful buttons to the Navigation Bar in the Settings app

Jailbreakers with any interest or intention involving the augmentation of their iPhone or iPad’s Settings application should promptly turn their attention to a newly released and free jailbreak tweak dubbed SettingsButtons by iOS developer Ethan Whited.

SettingsButtons provides fast and easy access to commonly used toggles directly from the Settings app’s Navigation Bar, including but not limited to a Dark Mode toggle, a Respring button, and a Safe Mode button. Examples of these buttons are depicted in the screenshot example above.

KernBypass kernel-level jailbreak detection bypass updated to v0.0.5 with iOS 14.2 support & more

Earlier this year, iOS developer XsF1re garnered a substantial amount of attention from the jailbreak community after releasing the FlyJB kernel-level jailbreak detection bypassafter releasing the FlyJB kernel-level jailbreak detection bypass — a tool that was basically meant to amount to a way for jailbreakers to go undetected by App Store apps that would traditionally bar access to those with pwned handsets.

Soon after, XsF1re pulled the project, citing a loss of confidence, but later reinstated it as FlyJB X upon developing improvements to make the bypass more reliable. Still, it wasn’t without its shortcomings. Over the weekend, however, iOS developer Ichitaso updated his own kernel-level jailbreak detection bypass dubbed KernBypass (unofficial) to version 0.0.5, and from what we can gather, it just might be slightly superior.

AnimeMyBadges brings a unique breathing animation to notification badges

The badge appears as a static red dot at the top-right of the icon, and while we’ve seen jailbreak tweaks-a-plenty that permit color customization of these badges, tweaks for animating said badges seem to be far less common.

Enter AnimeMyBadges, a newly released and free jailbreak tweak by iOS developer Antony M that gives Your handset’s notification badges a unique breathing animation that causes them to wax and wane with what can only be described as the in-and-out rhythm of a breath.

Emojis have quickly transformed into one of the most popular ways to share expressions and reactions via messaging and social media platforms. If you’ve ever wanted to enter several of the same Emoji into a text field, however, then you’d find yourself tapping the Emoji key of your choosing repeatedly until satisfied.

LongKeys is a newly released and free jailbreak tweak by iOS developer maximehip that tries to take the edge off of this user experience by allowing typists to simply tap and hold on an Emoji key of their choosing to input several instances of that particular Emoji into the text field all at once.

Radio proximity security attack targeting up to iOS 13.5 detailed by Ian Beer

Accomplished security researcher Ian Beer, known for releasing a host of iOS exploits used by modern jailbreak tools, dropped a bombshell on Twitter late Wednesday evening after sharing a detailed blog post about a jaw-dropping radio proximity exploit affecting up to and including iOS and iPadOS 13.5.

The blog post summary goes on to explain that the hacker can remotely trigger kernel memory corruption through the execution of arbitrary code. Furthermore, it can force affected iOS and iPadOS devices in radio proximity to reboot with no user interaction needed or put privacy at risk by breaching user data or utilizing cameras and microphones without the user’s knowledge.
