RecentCalls+ brings a slew of improvements to the Recents list in the Phone app

Apple improved the Phone app extensively in iOS 10 by including a new API that third-party developers can use to integrate their App Store apps with calling functionality into it, such as those like Skype or WhatsApp, just to name a couple.

On the other hand, there's still more that can be done to improve the Phone app, and a new jailbreak tweak release by Olxios&Nico called RecentCalls+ is a step in the right direction.

MusicMark saves your place in the Music app when you respring or force-quit the app

When you’re in the middle of listening to media via Apple’s Music app and you end up having to force-quit the app or respring your device for any reason, you’ll notice that the app never remembers your place in the song when you get the Music app up and running again.

A new free jailbreak tweak called MusicMark by iOS developer Tony Kraft fixes this by forcing the Music app to remember your place in a song whenever you respring or force-quit the Music app, effectively allowing you to resume where you left off.

AntiSocial enables the ‘Leave this Conversation’ button even in three-way iMessage groups

One of the things that really grinds my gears is when I get sucked into group iMessage conversations that I really don’t want to be in. Although rare, sometimes people do it just to wish a bulk of people a good holiday without sending individual messages, but other times people do it just to be annoying.

Unfortunately, Apple makes things even more difficult on you by limiting the ability to leave a group iMessage conversation to when there are four or more people in it, so if you’re being dragged against your will into a three-way iMessage conversation, then you'll find the button to leave will be grayed out.

That’s where a new free jailbreak tweak called AntiSocial by Tony Kraft comes in handy, as it enables the "Leave this Conversation" button even when you’re in a three-way iMessage conversation.

AppSync beta released with iOS 10 support

One of the more common questions we've been getting here at iDB since the release of the Yalu jailbreak for iOS 10 is when AppSync Unified, from Karen Tsai (angelXwind), would be getting an update to make it compatible with the new jailbreak.

As you may be aware, many people got themselves into a respring loop of some description by installing AppSync soon after the Yalu jailbreaks came out. That should now have been fixed with this new beta version of AppSync Unified, available on Karen's Cydia repository.

Photo Tools is an all-in-one customization tweak for the Photos app

Photos App Icon iOS

It feels like the Photos app continues to become more cluttered with features that everyday users really don’t even use in every major iteration of iOS. At least for me, I find myself really only ever using the Albums view in the Photos app to get to my most important stuff. I don’t ever really utilize the People or Places albums, nor do I ever use the Memories or Shared tabs.

For anyone who feels like they're in a similar boat and miss the simplicity of the Photos app as a simple album-based Photo Library viewer, a new free jailbreak tweak called Photo Tools by Justin Petkovic might be able to give you exactly what you’re looking for.

This tweak prevents Spotify radio stations from playing songs you’ve Liked in the past

Anyone who uses Spotify to listen to their favorite music might be able to benefit from a new free jailbreak tweak called SpotStationNoLikedSongsPlz by HiDaN, as it helps to diversify what you hear on a regular basis from Spotify-based radio stations.

It’s intended to work in tandem with the free Spotify Music app by preventing the radio stations in the app from queuing songs that you’ve already liked in the past.

ColorMeBaddge can be used to colorize your Home screen’s notification badges

On any stock installation of iOS, every one of your notification badges are going to be red and contain white-colored text that usually indicates the number of missed notifications in the app. To me, that seems a little boring, and a developer named midey seems to agree, as he’s just released a new free jailbreak tweak called ColorMeBaddge.

With this tweak, you can colorize all of your Home screen’s notification badges in pretty much any way you choose, but the best feature is being able to automatically colorize your notification badges based on the dominant color of the application icon in question.

Unify consolidates your iOS notifications for a cleaner look

If you’re one to wake up to a ton of notifications every morning, or even if you’re a popular person during the day, then sorting through all of the notifications on your Lock screen can be nothing short of what feels like a full-time job.

Of course, a new jailbreak tweak called Unify by SpiritOfLogic helps simplify your notifications by unifying them into groups on the Lock screen and in Notification Center.

AppCon lets you change your Home screen icons with images from your Photo Library

Anyone who might have a creative nature at heart will probably have a lot of fun with a new jailbreak tweak release by merdok called AppCon.

This tweak lets you customize your Home screen app icons with anything you want from your Photo Library, and more importantly, you can customize each app icon on a per-app basis, or you can make a complete picture out of the entire grid of app icons on a page.

This tweak prevents people who text you like this from blowing up your phone with notifications

We all have that one friend that can’t consolidate all of their text messages into one neat message. Instead, they are apt to send multiple messages, one after the other, in order to complete just one sentence.

While the sender may not realize it, this is very annoying for anyone on the receiving end, as their iPhone will just repeatedly ‘ding’ and ‘buzz’ all over the place, and that’s why iOS developer Hrvoje Kostic made a new jailbreak tweak called DoNotAnnoy.

Telt X keeps people you show photos to from swiping through the rest of your Photo Library

Have you ever had a picture in your Photo Library that you wanted to show friends, or even a complete stranger for that matter, and they started to scroll back and forth through your photos? Not only does this feel like an invasion of privacy, but if you don’t get them permission to look through the rest of your photos, they might come across something you don’t want them to see.

A new free jailbreak tweak called Telt X by AkKSlow is now available in Cydia that lets you limit the photos that you show someone by preventing them from swiping between the rest of the images in your Photo Library.

HapticScroll gives you haptic feedback when you scroll beyond iOS’ scrolling limits

Some of the more visually appealing parts of iOS that I have always liked are those fluid bouncy animations you get when you over-scroll and end up hitting the bottom of a pane. This is particularly noticeable in apps like Safari or Settings, where scrolling too far gives you the bounce effect.

Because haptic feedback jailbreak tweaks are so popular as of late, iOS developer Hrvoje Kostic made yet another addition to the family called HapticScroll, which gives you a little bit of a buzz whenever you happen to over-scroll and hit that bouncy boundary in an app.
