How to make your iPhone speak the current time and date

Sometimes you just don't have time to look at the time. Or maybe you're in a dark room, and don't want the iPhone's light to blind you as if you were staring directly into the sun. In either of these scenarios, using TimeSpeak would be appropriate.

TimeSpeak is a jailbreak tweak that will speak the current time and date out loud when invoked via an Activator action. The tweak contains numerous options for speaking certain parts of time like day, month, hours, minutes, seconds, etc. Take a look inside for a full video demo...

Finally, the iPad can lay claim to a Clock app of its own. That's right, with iOS 6, comes a new Clock app built from the ground up with the iPad in mind. The first word that might come to your head after initially laying eyes on the Clock app is "beautiful", as it's accented with a level of detail that Apple is famous for.

Included with the Clock app is a world clock capable of storing up to 24 different locations, along with the obligatory alarm, stop watch, and timer functions. Check out our full video walkthrough of the new Clock app for all of the details. Be sure to comment and let us know what you think about it.

New in iOS 6: a new Clock app for the iPad

Finally. There is now a Clock app included with iOS 6 on the iPad. I guess having Siri on the iPad forced Apple's hand. But this isn't just any old ordinary Clock app, Apple went the extra mile and created a downright beautiful interface that puts the iPhone Clock app to shame.

ClockCenter: An Analog Clock For Notification Center

When you ride in a luxury car, one of the first things you'll notice is an analog clock. It's a sign of grace, style, and precision.

Since the iPhone is arguably the "luxury car" of smart phones, it's only right that an analog clock graces iOS 5's new Notification Center.

Sure enough, not long after iOS 5 was released to the public, ClockCenter shows up on Cydia...

TimerBar: Access Your iPhone’s Timer or Stopwatch From Anywhere

I find myself using my iPhone's Clock app, with its included timer and stopwatch, for all sorts of arbitrary reasons.

It's a really handy thing to have, but it would even better if you didn't have to launch the Clock app every time, just to access the time keeping functions.

Enter TimerBar, a jailbreak tweak that allows you to invoke your timer from anywhere by means of Activator. Full video walkthrough, inside...

LockSecondsIndicator: Add Seconds to Your Lockscreen

LockSecondsIndicator isn't the first tweak that adds seconds to your lockscreen clock, but it just might be the best.

A while back, I reviewed a similar tweak entitled ClockSeconds. That tweak attempted to do something similar, but it had its fair share of issues.

Does LockSecondsIndicator fair any better? Look inside for the video evidence...
