Apple reveals its all-time top apps

Yesterday we brought you news of a tremendous achievement where the App Store is concerned. Apple, amazingly, announced the fact that it had delivered an astonishing 25 billion downloads since the creation of the App Store in 2008.

That truly is an amazing fact and we're sure it won't be long until the next milestone of 50 billion has come and gone. It took Apple just over a year to add a further 15 billion to its 10 billionth download back in January, 2011.

This year, the MLB is doing things a bit different with the way its viewers can watch games on their mobile devices. Today, the new MLB At Bat 2012 app hit the App Store, available on both the iPhone and iPad, Fox News notes. In previous years, the cost was $15 for each app -- which totaled $30 for a viewer who wanted the experience on both the iPhone and iPad.

Ads are coming to Twitter for iPhone

Two years ago, Twitter introduced 'Promoted Products', which are essentially ways for companies to advertise across the Twitter platform and gives Twitter the ability to make revenue. Companies can sign-up for Promoted Accounts, Tweets, and Trends as a way to bring notice to their service.

Today, Twitter announced that their iPhone app will start featuring Promoted Products. The advertising service was included in the latest Twitter for iOS update released last week. The Twitter crew will start sending out more Promoted Tweets, Accounts, and Trends to mobile devices over the next few weeks...

AT&T plans to allow developers to pay for users’ data

In an interesting move, AT&T plans to allow developers to pay for users' data, when users are using the developer's app, reports the WSJ. AT&T's network and technology head John Donovan told the WSJ in an interview at MWC 2012 that the service will be similar to a toll-free 1-800 number.

The move will surely be interesting, letting a user use an app without any data being charged to them whatsoever. Donovan says AT&T hopes to roll out the new service within the next year...

Vimeo releases iOS app update, featuring full screen video playback on iPad

Vimeo is a popular alternative to YouTube for sharing videos. Vimeo is known for hosting higher quality pieces and short films, thanks to its pro accounts. The service previously had just an iPhone app, but today has updated its app to version 2.0, bringing support for the iPad.

The iPad UI lets you navigate through Vimeo's functionality natively and also lets you play video full screen. As you can see, it looks very high quality.
