Twitterrific adds support for Quoted Tweets, emoji and quick replies on Apple Watch and more

Twitterrific 5 for iOS now supports Twitter's Quoted Tweets format which was announced two months ago. Additionally, The Iconfactory's freemium Twitter client for the iPhone, iPad, iPod touch and Apple Watch has picked up half a dozen improvements and feature additions in the latest update, including settings options to display the tab bar at the bottom of the screen instead top of screen.

You can now display a timeline of your own recent tweets, marvel at revamped in-app alerts and—crucially—reply with emoji and canned responses right from your wrist.

djay 2 introduces Force Touch trackpad support, automatic transitions on Apple Watch and more

German developer Algoriddim has refreshed its award-winning mixing and scratching application for DJs with support for force-sensing technology on Mac notebooks outfitted with Force Touch trackpad, tighter Apple Watch integration and many other perks mentioned below. In addition, djay 2 for iPhone and djay 2 for Mac both received support for the Reloop Beatpad 2 MIDI controller.

New El Capitan features Apple didn’t talk about during WWDC 2015 keynote

Monday's WWDC 2015 keynote talk was a jam-packed day of announcements that included iOS 9, OS X El Capitan, watchOS 2, Apple Music, the News app and updates to Apple Pay, so much so that Tim Cook had to immediately cut to the chase and skip his opening round of business updates (“Everything is going fine”, he joked).

There just wasn't enough time to talk about every little enhancement and nice-to-have so Apple execs focused on big ones that make for great headlines while relegating a bunch of platform updates, that mostly matter to developers anyway, to a single slide.

Vine updated with new search feature for finding and discovering videos

Twitter updated its 6-second video sharing app Vine today, bringing the iOS client to version 3.4. The change log only includes a single item, but it's a significant one for users who have ever had trouble tracking down a clip: proper search.

Since its inception, or close to it, users have been able to search Vine for users and hashtags, but this returned extremely limited results, and made it nearly impossible to discover or track down older, popular videos. But that changes today.

eBay for Apple Watch launches, iOS app gains iPhone 6 and 1Password support and more

If you're buying or selling on eBay, you can now receive gentle alerts on your wrist for your tracked items on the popular e-commerce service.

Thanks to eBay's freshly updated iPhone application that now includes a WatchKit component, one of the most popular online marketplaces in the world is now available on the leading smartwatch on the market.

As TechCrunch reported Tuesday, the required Apple Watch-focused update to eBay's iOS app is available in the App Store now.

During its keynote talk, Apple played a bunch of videos to WWDC attendees to visualize some of the new products and features it announced this morning.

The company still hasn't uploaded the full keynote video to its official channel on YouTube—though you can stream it from the Apple.com homepage—but now promo footage highlighting the new $10 per month Apple Music service have popped up on YouTube, along with an inspirational video showcasing the App Store success story.

New iOS 9 features Apple didn’t mention today

During Apple's WWDC keynote this morning, it offered up a preview of iOS 9. It discussed a number of major new features in the upcoming OS update, including a smarter Siri, improved Maps and better battery life.

But as usual, there are a number of new features in iOS 9 that Apple didn't really talk about today. The slide you see above gives you an idea of what some of those features might be.

iOS 9 includes a standalone iCloud Drive app

Since Apple's WWDC keynote ended a few hours ago, we've installed the iOS 9 beta and begun digging for new stuff. Apple previewed a handful of the software's features at the event, but as usual, there are a number of additions and improvements it didn't talk about.

One of those features is a standalone iCloud Drive app. It's not immediately apparent, but while launching an app we received a pop-up asking us if we wanted to install it. We were also able to access it via the Settings app iCloud > iCloud Drive > Show on Home Screen.

Apple reveals new ‘Move to iOS’ app for Android switchers

To make life easier for people looking to switch to an iPhone and iOS 9 over from an Android device, Apple will be providing a dedicated iPhone and iPad application called 'Move to iOS'.

Yet to be released in the App Store, Move to iOS was designed to simplify the process of transferring user data securely from an Android phone or tablet to a new iPhone or iPad.

Apple Music available on June 30 for $9.99/month with 3-month free trial

Apple rounded up its WWDC 2015 keynote with a 'one more thing' announcement for Apple Music. The service will incorporate streaming music, 24/7 radio stations, and a new 'Connect' feature that will allow musicians to connect with their fans.

For those excited to try out the service, Apple says that it will be available on June 30th. As run-up reports predicted, it'll come with a 3-month free trial and cost $9.99 per month after that. There will also be a family plan for multiple users, for $14.99 per month.
