Texture shuts down, Apple nudges users towards Apple News+

Apple has shut down Texture

Apple purchased Texture, a digital reading service that offered a variety of magazines and more for a set monthly fee, back in March of 2018. The company was quick to fold that company's features into its own idea, launching Apple News+ for $10 per month a year later. But for the new service to live, the old one must die.

macOS 10.15 may be called Mammoth

Apple has used a variety of names to help spruce up its desktop operating system's naming scheme over the years. We've seen animals like Snow Leopard in the past, but, more recently, Apple has stuck to natural landscapes located in California. The last release, macOS Mojave, followed right along with that idea, and we may see it continue this year.
