iPhone photography fans who use Google Photos for iOS as their go-to photo management and backup solution will be delighted to learn that the latest version of the iPhone and iPad application now integrates advanced stabilization and rendering features that can make Live Photos smoother. Borrowed from Google's Motion Stills app which debuted in June 2016, this feature can freeze the background in your Live Photos or create sweeping cinematic pans.

Shipping estimates for iPhone 7 pre-orders quickly slipping

It's just been half an hour since Apple's new iPhone 7 and 7 Plus handsets went on sale, and shipping estimates for select models have already dropped dramatically. The average delivery window now seems to be 4-6 weeks out, with the AT&T iPhone 7 Plus in Jet Black simply showing "November" for the expected shipping date for both storage configurations.

The iPhone 7 and Apple Watch Series 2 are now available for pre-order. Folks in participating launch countries can now place orders for the new devices on Apple's website, the mobile Apple Store app, or via their wireless carrier.

As we mentioned in our Pro Tips guide to pre-ordering, the easiest way to place your order is through the mobile app. Apple's site tends to get bogged down with the influx of traffic, and carrier website health is hard to predict.

Although they look just about the same on the outside, the new Apple Watch Series 2 is built just a little bit thicker and heavier than the Apple Watch Series 1 and the original Apple Watch.

The findings might be a deal-breaker for some people who already thought the original Apple Watch was too thick to begin with. After all, many were hoping Apple would thin out the footprint of the next-generation Apple Watch, rather than make it thicker.
