"Today at Apple" sessions held by all of Apple's seventeen retail stores across Italy have been officially canceled do to the nationwide coronavirus COVID-19 crisis.
Apple will be temporarily shutting down its retail store located in the province of Bergamo in Italy. According to SetteBit, Apple is acting on orders from the Italian government which has experienced the worst spread of the COVID-19 coronavirus in Europe so far.
Apple has re-opened more than half of its retail stores in China after the coronavirus outbreak forced it to temporarily shut down all of the corporate offices and outlets earlier in February.
Apple's slow process of reopening stores in China continues, as the company confirms at least one more store opening its doors soon.
Initially, Apple had plans to reopen most, if not all, of its retail storefronts in China on Monday, February 1o. However, due to health concerns related to the spreading coronavirus, Apple amended those plans and confirmed to staff in the region that some stores wouldn't open until, at the very earliest, later in the week.
Apple has temporarily closed all of its physical retail stores, corporate offices and contact centers in mainland China through Sunday, February 9, due to the coronavirus outbreak.
